Where can I learn how to trade in the forex ?
in

BabyPips is a great start. I would do the free lessons, then open a demo and just practice one simple thing at a time. Most people lose because they rush into live trading before they can follow basic rules.
How much gain is realistic ?

Daily targets sound nice until you live them. The market doesn’t hand you 3% every day, and chasing that usually creates overtrading. The bigger clue is what you already said, you made money then gave it back. That’s not a return problem, it’s a control problem. I’d aim for steady months and focus on keeping the bad days small. If you can do that, the good days take care of themselves.
Strategy vs Trading System: The Difference Most Traders Ignore
in
New Traders
Feb 19 at 11:02
True. People chase proven strategies because it feels easier than working on discipline. A strategy is just the idea, a system is the full plan with rules, risk, and what you do when you’re wrong. Psychology is what keeps you following it.
Leverage in EURUSD and XAUUSD trading

You can even trade without leverage at all. Leverage just changes how fast you can blow up. If you’re new, focus on position size and risk per trade, not max leverage. Gold especially can move hard and punish 1:500 fast.

It’s a solid prop firm if you want something stable and not gimmicky.
Gold Market Outlook: Compression Before Expansion

I agree with this view. Gold rarely reacts to one headline. It reacts when positioning shifts. Real rates and liquidity expectations matter more than single data prints. Right now it does feel like compression. Volatility contracts, traders overtrade chop, then expansion comes when consensus flips. That pattern repeats. The danger is trying to force moves inside consolidation.
Consistent High-Yield Trading Strategy for High-Value Accounts

You could explore a PAMM or MAM structure where investors allocate capital while you manage risk under clear terms. That creates structure and trust. But I’d also be careful with strong trading days marketing. Investors care more about worst days than best days.
Crude Oil Market Current Situation

Crude isn’t something you invest in casually. It reacts fast to inventory data, OPEC decisions, geopolitical tension, and dollar strength. Right now oil has been moving more on supply headlines and macro expectations than pure technical structure. If you’re unsure, that usually means the setup isn’t clear yet.I’d zoom out first. Look at the higher timeframes and ask whether you’re buying strength or buying into resistance. And if you trade it, size small. Oil can move hard and wipe out weak risk management quickly.
Why isn't there anyone talking about trading psychology?
in
New Traders
Feb 16 at 12:11
People love talking about proven strategies because it’s easier than admitting trading is mostly about discipline. The hard part isn’t finding an indicator, it’s sticking to one plan long enough without switching after every loss.I used to think I just needed a better setup. Turns out I needed better control. Psychology isn’t a gimmick, it’s what keeps normal drawdowns from turning into account damage.

Yea.. random swings are few during this time.
Trading is about control, not luck.

Trading taught me one thing: my luck is terrible, but my ability to follow a strategy? Surprisingly okay. Consistency over chaos, every time.
How do compound profits in trading
in
New Traders
Feb 09 at 04:30
Quick example. If you average 3 percent a month, 1,000 becomes about 1,425 in a year if you reinvest, not 1,360 like simple returns. It looks small early, but the curve gets steeper over time. The real question is can you stay consistent long enough to let that curve work.
How Forex Market Hours Impact Online Forex Trading Performance

I think people overrate market hours sometimes. If a setup fails every time outside London or New York, the issue is usually the execution or risk, not the session.

I agree with this take. Gold can flip without warning, and I’ve seen clean shorts get wiped in seconds. Sometimes staying flat really is the best trade.
How do you manage risk during high-impact news events in forex trading?
in
New Traders
Feb 04 at 06:29
If someone plans to trade after a news release, it’s better to wait until the initial volatility settles and the market shows a clearer direction. That makes price action easier to read. For beginners especially, avoiding news trading altogether is usually a good idea since the lack of experience can lead to quick mistakes.
Lot, Point and Pip: Basic Trading Units You Must Understand
in
New Traders
Feb 04 at 06:07
Good explanation. A lot of people also get confused between a pip and a pipette. A pip is the main price move, while a pipette is just the smaller fractional move brokers show. That mix-up can easily lead to wrong position sizing or risk calculations, especially for beginners.
