Thanks for sharing your insights and experiences with trading. It's interesting how understanding the crowd mentality can really make a difference in the markets. Regular trading hours are like a busy marketplace. Lots of people buy and sell, so you can usually get a fair price. After-hours trading is more like a small store at night. Fewer people around, so it can be tough to buy or sell your investments for exactly the price you want. This means your stop-loss or take-profit orders might not happen at the exact price you set. To be safe, it's usually better to wait for the market to open when there's more activity.

Intraday Trading is gambling
in
New Traders
Mar 07 at 10:14
The statement that intraday trading is gambling has come up a few times, that I've seen. Although I am aware of the risks and the fast-paced environment, I believe it depends on how you go about it. With a solid strategy, proper risk management, and discipline, intraday trading can be more than just gambling. It's important to remember though, even the best plan can't guarantee achievement , and keeping emotions in check is key!
Risk management Guild lines

Those are all great points! I especially like the one about controlling emotions – that can be the trickiest part of forex trading. For me, using a stop-loss is non-negotiable. It helps me sleep at night knowing I've limited the downside, even if it means missing out on some potential gains.
Do you know you could recover your losses in Fx by being just patient?

Mar 05 at 11:52
It’s good to see that you’ve shared your experience. I feel that I've been trading for a while now, and while I agree discipline and patience are crucial, I wouldn't want to paint an unrealistic picture. Making consistent profits in FX is challenging, and aiming for 1k-50k in a year can be misleading for new traders. It takes time, experience, and a healthy dose of luck to achieve those numbers. Focusing on sound risk management and building your skills through practice is a more sustainable approach in the long run.

How do the banks affect the forex at news events?
in
General
Feb 28 at 07:51
The forex market is primarily driven by general economic factors. There's always a buyer and seller for every trade. But let's say the news story scares more people than simply banks. Suddenly, there are more sellers of euros than buyers willing to hold them at the current price. This difference drives down prices until sellers get worried and stop selling, or until enough buyers are pulled in by the lower price.
How to read news???

High-impact events on the calendar can definitely be confusing, especially if you're new to forex trading. These are basically economic announcements or data releases that have a significant potential to move the market. Traders themselves adjust their positions, manage risk, or even stay on the sidelines during these events.
