Try this post here:http://www.myfxbook.com/community/new-traders/new-traders-beware-easy-road/1039956,1My opinion is that an EA by itself will always ultimately fail as it does not adapt to the changing market conditions. Follow a proven signal provider with consistent returns and small draw-downs.

Answers:1. Of course we all know it's the Big Boys who control the market. These banks have the ability to move the market to enable them to get positioned on the right side of the market. When they want to short they don't just hit the sell button. they have to drive price higher to find buyers (ie all the stop resting above the market).2. Volume! It is the only real indicator that matters and is the only one I have on my charts. Until you watch volume and how price reacts to those volumes you will be flipping a coin at best. Do yourself a favor; strip all those indis off your charts ...
Minutes,hours,days,does it make a difference.

The best time to trade is when you see price reject off high volume nodes. As your friend can tell you the big banks have to get positioned with Billions of dollars. That takes liquidity and volume. I trade based on the reactions of the market off these levels. You can find these trades during almost any regular market session. Of course the two best markets are the EU and USA sessions. I have taken trades all last week during the Aussie and Asian sessions crossover with great success. My suggestion, stop trying to micro focus and pay attention to what matters......volume and price action.

No need for sarcasm. This thread was meant to help new traders find their way. Lets stick to that! For all new traders here:1. Who controls the market you wish to trade?2. Where in the charts can you see them, what indicator is not lagging? This is where your education needs to begin.

Nobody wins 100% over the long haul. Top money managers are happy with a 60-70% win rate. They know that limiting risk and letting profits run will allow for an excellent return.I started a thread for new traders in the hopes of helping those new to forex:http://www.myfxbook.com/community/new-traders/new-traders-beware-easy-road/1039956,1Come on over and ask any questions you may have! Well said! I always say that trading is the "Hardest" easy money you will ever make! When you are in the zone and doing well everybody is your best friend. When you hit the rough patch with choppy performance it's like you where the one who farted in the elevator. Then you have a series of losers (Even the top 10 banks having losing months) all you'll hear are the crickets. Just like major sports figures who suffer the cold streak.Remember, it's the big picture that matters. When I have a losing trade I immediately go back to my performance sheet and say "Oh yeah, I...

Ok, getting a bit off topic. I started this to try and give back to the new traders struggling. They have to become profitable before they can withdraw! Right?

I used to be with Oanda as they have an excellent reputation for financial security. The problem is with their Liquidity during high volume spikes. Their spreads can become gargantuan and blow your stop so be careful. If you are swing trading longer time frames it may not be an issue but I had my stop blown way too many times to only have the trade work out. FYI

It amazes me how many people agree that the Big Banks control the markets but refuse to LISTEN when they speak. It's VOLUME at LEVELS and how price reacts to that volume that tells you where the market SHOULD go. Took this trade tonight, see if you can tell me why.https://youtu.be/11TZQ690xloHit pause near the end. Sorry but this site having trouble uploading images tonight so I just went youtube route.

Not sure how it's confusing so I'll try and clarify. I look at specific price action at high volume nodes and then react based on what price does. I don't chase the market if price doesn't come to "Where I'm willing to deal". Many new traders will just jump in and chase! Then have the market move against them and hope and pray it turns around. Not a good way to trade.

Patience is Key! Especially for "New Traders". That is the point. Too often the new traders feel the need to be "IN" the market or they will miss out. Unfortunately they end up getting "IN" at the exact wrong time because they lack the experience. Experienced traders wait for the market to come to them and then pull the trigger looking for the expected response. When we don't get it we cut our loss quick and move on to the next.

I don't think there's any need to call "his rules" BS. For many that are just starting off it is sound advice by removing the temptations that can easily blow an account.Keep working it kmartyn because the pot of gold is truly at the end of the hard work and experience "Rainbow"!

I started this post after reading through the multitude of posts asking the same question: "Which EA will make me rich in the next two weeks?"The Answer: The Holy Grail of Trading does NOT exist! In an effort to be completely transparent I am an Autotrade provider and you can track my results here:https://www.myfxbook.com/members/autotrade/bn-manual/1177355It has taken me years to learn how to trade properly. That means putting the work into understanding price action and the auction process. You must be disciplined and use strict money management.Have you noticed how all the provider...

Wow! this thread is loaded with so much trash talk and none of it addresses the question. Every system and martingale doomed to blow up has posted the holy grail of trading (no such thing)! Slow and steady wins the race. Yes I have just started to allow others to copy my trades through the myFXbook Autotrade program. The Irony is that my monthly goal is about 5%. My current drawdown is 6%. You will never get an EA to produce these results, leave it to those of us who dedicate our lives to the markets! Watch me here for the next few months and see what it's like to have a slow steady growth...
