CandleForex Review Scores

Unfortunately I had much the same experience as Z80fx, the quote was reasonable, the work although was apparently going to be completed early was completed a week late, no big deal and only a few minor issues were found. I had paid up front as well. The first issue was resolved however the second issue which was small, the programmer did not respond nor has he responded since. It has been over a month and although I did receive a email apparently from my account manager to setup a call, they never set up the call and have not heard anything, so have been left with an EA that doesn't work and have since looked elsewhere. Given the poor customer service I will not use this company again.

If they would like to give a refund then I am happy to accept.

I contacted CandleForex for the first time on february 1013. I Sent them a draft, had reasonable quotation and delivery time. Payment 50% upfront, 50% upon EA being coded. The EA was sent almost in time (only few days later than declared), perfectly working (slightly different from my specs but honestly better so of course I didn't complain!), code well written and commented. Fast, good and cost effective.

So it was natural ask them to develope a second EA, last october.
This second experience has been unfortunately really different.

The quotation was very good, cheaper than I was expecting. My first impression was that they undervaluated the work, but who can say, maybe they already have a basket of common strategies ready to use! So, I paid the requested 100% upfront (8th october).

Since then... (take a comfortable seat, this is a saga)
21th oct - Candle Forex --> me 'your EA is now being tested and will be delivered to you within the next 24 hours'
29th oct - Candle Forex --> me EA delivered
29th oct - me --> Candle Forex 'EA is not working well, it doesnt't match the request logic, other minor issues
30th oct - Candle Forex --> me Second release of the EA delivered.
31th oct - me --> Candle Forex 'EA is still not working well' (it's a synthesys, of course, I provided BT, printscreen, etc)
31th oct - Candle Forex --> me 'I see the bug now. Give me a while and I will resend'
12th nov - Candle Forex --> me Third release of the EA delivered
17th nov - me --> Candle Forex 'Now EA is running w/out crashing or looping, but it doesnt't match the specifics I sent you. Let me know if you intend fix it or refund me'.
18th nov - Candle Forex --> me ' I am working on fixes for the problems you have pointed out. I know it seems like it is taking longer than it should but this sort of EA can be quite complex ... Thanks for the detailed explanation '
30th nov - Candle Forex --> me ' I have made the changes to your EA and am now retesting everything.'
19th dec - me --> Candle Forex Follow up requested
19th dec - Candle Forex --> me ' Let me follow up on that for you.'

Unfortunately Santa Claus didn't come on 25th.. still waiting since then, without a working EA and without the money I paid.

I would call you guys a excellent service provider. Not Quite a partner in my Business just yet.

I am a novice at alot of this ea design and automated trading. My ea works but had problems not relating to your programming.

I was told what was the cause of some problems but not solutions. I would come up with the ideas and get a new quote.

There could also be some recommendations on additions you think may make the ea work better.

I get the sense that you guys are great programmers that do not trade or use eas much.

I would happilly pay for a service that could advise me on improvements from a trading perspective.


Other additions I would recommend would be some links or a place on your website to download accurate data maybe tick data or even better a back testing system that is faster and more accurate than met4. This would be an addition to your service. My biggest struggle has been getting accurate data to test. Met 4 is designed for the broker as a client and thier download data is horrible. I have had to struggle very hard to test your ea due to this.

Hope these recommendations add value to you.

My previous EA programmer has decided to retire. I was recommended to CandleFOREX. I am pleased with the customer service and their prompt reply. I have used the EA for 4 days now, everything is working well so far. With the previous programmer, we usually need to go back and forth a couple of times before everything works.

Will definitely use them again.

I am very pleased with candleforex's service. They were very quick from the very start, communicating with me even on Sundays. The EA was completed in 3-4 days only and they were very supportive with my concerns and questions after the development. I can't think of something more I would have liked to have received from their overall service and didn't. Most definitely I would use their services again in the future.

You contacted us on Monday 20th at 17:42
You had a reply on Monday 20th at 17:49 that we would review your project.

We took a 4 days to review your project because:

(1) You gave us two EA where:

(a) The first EA was 822 lines of code
(b) The second EA you gave us was 820 lines of code
(c) You gave us two hacked EA that were decompiled almost to the point of it being code soup.

We got back to you on 26th May (after spending 4 days reviewing the code and requirements, taking into consideration the other projects on hand) pointing out that when you decompile an EA comments as well as some functions and logic are missing and because of that we declined the project. This adds to the delay in understanding the logic flow, even for experienced programmers.

Our programmers reviewed your request and we decided that we didnt want to do the project because various parts of the logic is missing, plus there is the ethical issue of reverse engineering someonelse's code and using it.

At the end of the day we turned down the project as we didnt want to work on a hacked EA and add the functionality you wanted because of the moral issue, plus it would be too much work to work in your requirements as chunks of logic is missing.

Additionally here in the USA the 27th is Memorial Day where we honor our fallen servicemen (and women) that did not come home.
The USA staff had that day off.

So now it is May 28th and you had a reply stating we did not wish to code the EA from the ground up either, and thank you for your time.

I will be using this company for the very first time. I gave them my concept on an Excel sheet and they seemed to understand it straight away. I have been told a timescale of up to 10 days with a very reasonable quote.

I will post again once EA is complete and write up my review of their work.

So far, good communication and customer service 😄
