why would it? if he traded the same way but at 5% he would be richer. the system hasn't changed just the risk.
may the fx be with you

dude you win rate you could make that 1000% better if you increased you risk 5% a trade. man up.

That would blow the account easily... 1% is sustainable without mental / emotional issues with the trade

1% or 5% risk, what it really matters is that your accuracy or 'batting average' is really high. Then you decide how much to risk from your account and how fast or slow you want to go. Do this on Demo, though, dont experiment with real money until you have good results.

Thats how it is done, you have to keep it steady and consistent, even if it is 1% or 100% gains, but the goal is to keep it consistent.

Sure, it is possible to get some consitent periods with all Martingale or Grid strategies... The only question is how long will the winning streak last before hitting a major (i.e. devastating) DD...

FxMasterGuru - you are entitled to your opinion, but it's not a grid or martingale system. Yes we do hedging to break even where we have not got the trade right and yes sometimes that leads to a draw down until the trade resolves at BE. A few times we have just closed at a loss to avoid endangering the account. If it's not your cup of tea fine, just posting it on here for people to look at - not really claiming to be an expert or anything.

I dont think it really matters what system are you using if you are getting consistent profits, but do be aware that markets evolve, trends change, short term and longer term. Therefore, with martingale systems or any other system you have to be attentive for when the markets change their trend, speed, momentum and volatility on different time spans.

Yeah I was experimenting with that, haven't used it for months as you can see. Only ever did it as demo, and they don't allow hedging I think.

Why is hedging neccessary when you can use limit and stop loss orders? You have to expose yourself anyways in order to make money, you cannot hold the hedge for ever, otherwise you will never make a profit.

Alex

The hedge trade is only raised if the initial trade goes against us, eg see yesterday AUDUSD trade, no hedge needed, closed in straight profit.

Is your English any good? That isn't a 2 year account plus no trading privileges and track record verified with that scamming broker.
Let me point something out, that $2000 was initially deposited IF I WERE TO BELIEVE this account? But 50% of the account was traded each time at the start which for such a low DD that is virtually impossible... i.e either a scam/modified output OR you just got lucky and you need to buy a lottery ticket.

Looking at the output results it seems to have been doing some arbitrage but even with that there would have been instances where the DD would have been significant when trading 50% of the balance.

Nice results. Nevertheless, it would be nicer if you could replicate them on an account with a maninstream (i.e. reputable) broker (e.g. ICM, Pepperstone, Global Prime, Oanda, LMAX etc.) as already suggested by someone in the thread of the strategy. Until then it is just too suspicious for a broker assisted "book cooking".

-276 pips (i.e. negative pips) with +31% profit this year = Martingale in my book.

There is simply no other explanation how could a strategy make profits while losing pips...

MasterGuru what do you hope to gain by posting here someone with gains of 5% per month for 2 years with conditions?
After all you will attract all sorts of bugs and insects when you post something like this, and if one can and does why would they even bother responding, after all they have nothing to gain!

@forexpipcatchar

1. I was hoping to see a 'retail trader' who has managed to achieve solid financial freedom via Forex trading. I have to admit that my hopes were unfounded.

2. More than two years after starting this thread I can only agree with your observations.
