Hello

I been trading for 5 years and I was full time. I learned everything on my own but I realize I need a mentor someone to help me be more consistent and take me to the next level. I can not learn from someone who is not a multi millionaire from trading. My belief is -- you can only lead someone as far as you have gone yourself. I believe I need to be tweeked .... not trading 101 ground zone, unless my mentor deems it necessary . I'm looking for someone who is really passionate about help someone succeed. If your mentor does want or believes in you then you won't succeed. Anybody who is making money and has time to spare to screen share have a few trading conversations and help me get to the next level. It is much appreciated ..

This is just an evaluation of what you posted...it appears that your issue is psychological and not technical. Needing to be tweaked and more consistent sounds like discipline...if you were trading full time at some point, you obviously have skill. Not being rude or trolling just observing.

Am I a millionaire? No but according to my analyzing for the past 5 years I can average AT LEAST 10% a month return. Just because someone is not a millionaire....
wow... at least 10% a month. Let's say that at least 10% comes to 12% okay?
In case you started with 1100 USD 5 years ago you are the millionaire topicstarter is looking for.

Can I borrow you 20k? I'd like you to turn that into 10 billion. It will only take you less than 10 years. It's okay if you keep 9 billion and return me only 1 billion. Do we have a deal here?

We all need a mentor at some point, although I would recommend you to do many courses related to trading, they will help you in everything.

My advice,

Assuming you find Successful Mentors.

1. Some may not have the system that best works for you.

   - First determine what you want from trading (5%, 10%, 30% Return Per Month)

   - Next Determine if they have the approach that you are comfortable with. If they use Indicators that are accurate, but you want a system with clear charts using just Candlestick Signals, then some of these mentors would not be for you.

   - Determine how often you can trade. If the Mentors system requires being in front of your computer screen at times not convenient to your 9/5 Routine, may have a problem with fatigue over the long/term.

2. Some may require an Expensive Fee, Affordable Fee or give it to you for Free.

  - Now, most people looking for a system that works and a Mentor to help them often feel they should get it for Free or Cheap out of the 'goodness or kindness of their heart'. But how many people with a Service or Product offered in life provide it for Free?

Assuming that this Service is valuable, people should not expect it to be Free or Cheap. Afterall, unless you are friends with them, it will be a stranger offering his time and time is money! Agreed? Especially in an area like the Forex with a High Failure Rate that requires tremendous amount of hardwork and dedication to avoid being another losing trader. I cant remember going into a Microsoft store and seeing Windows being given away for free except as a 30 Day Free Trial with the purchase of a computer. And the last time I checked, the new 2018 S3 AUDI was about $40000...with the only thing be free being test drive.

So we have to ensure that when we are looking for help that it is in line with what we realistically need based on our needs with a realistic set of criteria and not what we 'Feel' should be the case.

Getting a free strategy out there is impossible. considering top hedge funds would pay a good strategy top dollar. the only hitch with your expecations is that you expect free assistance. well in all honesty its a miracle if you get one. am also in search of that holy grail system.

Always wondered how much people want to pay....$500..$10000 ? And what kind of returns they wsnt that mentor to be making...10%.. 20% 400%? What do people consider this holy grail to be? Will they recognize it when they see it?

Plus with so many systems with triple digit returns here..I have always.thought finding someone would be easy..is it that most dont wsnt to share or people dont want to pay their price?

Irony could be thst since most people been used to free and cheap stuff..when the better thing comes around..they still expect free and cheap..

If its of value..it has to be at a higher cost.

My take is this if you have spend years and resources coming up with a system that makes you consistent income. will you just give it away for free? or will you even talk about it or you will silently milking the market?😀

You have 5 years of experience trading in Forex, and you are still not consistent in your profitability?
You say you need a mentor, but we are talking about a trader who earns a lot of money in Forex. That kind of person will never teach you what surely cost him money, a lot of time and a lot of practice.
In the 21st century, traders who really earn money in Forex, use really good software. This costs money. I advise you to investigate about this, and get a very good software.
I give you a little advice. To be profitable, and over time millionaire, you should not seek to have 100% success in each trade, but you should know exactly what you will do when the price reverses and goes against you. Also, to become a millionaire trader, you must invest a lot of money in your account, and when I say a lot, it's a lot. Some traders, as in my case, or in the case of Mr. vontogr, take a loan to leverage themselves enough.
Get yourself a very good software. Have a strategy or plan B prepared for when the price goes against you. When you have it, invest a lot of money in your system.
You do not need a mentor, you need to be realistic. No millionaire trader, not even one who earns a lot of money, will 'give you away' what it costs so much to have (very good software and a very good strategy for price reversals).

I agreed with @NyNFinancial said. You can't find mentor here @killaogbobby . They are busy enjoying life with their profits. There are many books, articles, and videos about Forex. You need to read them all and from that, you build your own strategy. And maybe after this, if you have profitable strategy, you will not here, busy enjoying your life with your good profits.

agreed on both comments here too. Either you're going to have to work your ass off learning (which it sounds like is a dead end now) or get some great software and understand how to use it....third option is to pay commission for a well established service. These are generally hard to get onboard with for the very reason that they're successful (brokers obviously don't like it so the service providers tend to remain inconspicuous).

there are a few I can think of, they are invite only and charge high commission rates (50-60%) , that's the price of someone else's success.

Just thought I should drop this as it might be useful for someone struggling out there.

How financially stable you are before deciding to trade forex is an important factor in being a long term successful trader.

I started trading about 9 years ago when I was in the university where I had little or no money an depended on my parents for money. I wanted the FOREX market to be my liberation and give me financial independence, I could not be more mistaken.

Fast forward 3 years I was struggling, I knew I had a strategy but I found it so difficult to consistently make profits as the urge to extra ordinarily multiply profits will always make me make unreasonable and risky decisions which make me lose money.

I stopped trading for a year and got a job and started earning money.

Then I went back again trading -(this time with an amount I can afford to lose ) with same strategy and started making good consistent profits.

Fast forward 6 years I can say its been a good ride.

Summary- take care of your financial stability before deciding to trade. FOREX market wont give you quick money long term
