I opened new account with FXPrimus where I am going to continue trading currencies. As soon as I get passwordsa dn it gets activated I will move funds form Oil account to this new account.
Until I have oil schedule back I will not trade oil.
Now, currencies for October I am going to look for opportunities at Japanese session time and then New York from 9:45 to 1:20 after all news cleared. I prefer not to get up for London open.
I will be looking at 4-5 currencies pairs but mostly E/U. Others pairs might be traded only if some important s/r level or trend line is being tested. E/U, E/J, G/J, G/U and A/U.

I need to notice some overall improvement in my trading despite this DD I have had this month.
Statistically my average win was always half of my average loss and already on oil account before DD my average win overtook my average loss and now on demo that I have been trading for few days my average win is already slighter bigger than my average loss despite big number of BE trades.
It is encouraging. Also pip count is growing and Sharpe improving.
Nevertheless, I am waiting for approval, will move money and restart live trading next week.

I have been thinking of how I got into this DD. My trading went sour after schedule changed but I was thinking exactly the same day when DD started that i only need to be able to stop if things are going bad to be consistently profitable over the long run cause I am quite sure I am already a good trader capable of making money consistently. The last obstacle is psychological. i must have stopped when I saw that things were not working on different schedule.
No excuse here. I must have stopped. The only thing that i know is that I am going to stop in the future if I have any change in routine and move to demo until I am sure everything is fine.

Some really interesting idea came to me while I was sleeping. I hope it is a good one as I am going to start using it. However it is not a day trading idea.
I do not think it is right to go back to day trade live now as I cannot show consistency in my trading during those Nymex 3 hours yet. I will keep working on my day trading until I have 1-2 weeks of consistent good results as I used to have. Friday was a wild ride. I was doing well till yesterday. so, again, this is constant struggle whether to trade Friday or not. I guess the answer might be yes but not New York time. so, no for now.
I will not be posting my day trading for now as I have not found a way to consistently make money with low risk during 3 Nymex hours yet, but I will connect my second demo where I want to test my idea. I guess it might be called my attempt at swing trading with my night revelation. Want to see how it will look on stats. It also might be a solution to my schedule if it works.

That's one of the way to trade with my greatly reduced schedule. I will also continue to work on Nymex session day trading. Need 1-2 positive consistent weeks to go live and this new idea is about swing trades.

I am severely underfunded for swing trading.

It looks like I need to look at trading at this time with different perspective.
Most importantly not to rush and wait despite small window I have.
Need 1-2 weeks of good trading to move back to live. The trading is obviously different form earlier hours.

The most important is to take pips quickly. Profit might dissapear in a second at this time so looking for big pips at this time with my style is not worth it. Had trades of 20-30 pips in my favor go into BE or loss within few seconds or 1-2 min. so, took this into consideration and stopped looking for too many pips per one trade. Take whatever present itself withing reasonable limits of course and have daily goal. 30-40 pips.
Met these goal for 2 days so far. a2 weeks with such results might signal that i am ready to go back to live.

The most important is to be calm, wait and not to worry about having only 3 hours of trading.

Current price action after I closed my 2 long trades is a proof. had I waited a bit longer for more pips I would have been murdered. it is 100 pips up and then down within few minutes.

I always want more pips and it often becomes my undoing. I think that if to take good trade after London lunch but before New York open it is reasonable to look for more pips but this time most of the time it is just pretty hard with small stops as volatility is out of this world.

damn, I feel good. I have to admit I felt myself horrible after having that DD. I did not ruin account or anything but I did not expect this to happen again. 10% DD for me is a shocker always as I tend to stop trading after losing 10% of my original balance.
I feel like I am starting to find ground.
Knock the wood...2 days I traded very well. focus, patience, no hesitation and take profits unlike last week when I let profits slip through my fingers and turn BE or losers.

will post how this week will end and if this and next will be good I will be back to live.
Brain needs time to adjust to new conditions. it takes some time as I cannot code and back test so, I need to observe and learn from my own experience.

week has been up but cannot say I am willing to move and trade live during New York time. However, I decided to stop trading New York time and try and adjust to trade only during 3 hours London 3:00-6:00 a.m. EST cause London is what I have always traded since the very beginning. Results are much more consistent and had I only traded London this week week would have been much better. There is risk to get stuck in trades before I am leaving but still it is better than to get into this New York whip saw.
I will not be able to trade London time for 2 weeks and then will resume trading during London only. 1-2 weeks of positive results and I will be ready to go live.

3 hours is not enough but it is all I have till spring of 2012 when i will get my old schedule back and will then start looking for work to make my schedule to trade London till Nymex open permanent.

I will resume live trading on November 1. London open till 6;00 a.m. Since May 1, 2012 I will be back to my usual schedule most probably. Will try to make the best from currently available schedule.
