My current guess is the equation to determine TP assumes that previous multiplier trades were entered. When I get a chance I'll take a look. (Should be able to in a couple of days.) This is a more complicated fix than the previous one I did.

spent a couple hours looking at the code don't see anything obvious, can you guys get me your expert logs and journals so I can see if there any errors in them to see if I see anything.

Hey FJ, I attached here as per your request.

I would home in on that negative GBPCHF basket in
my History - it's as if there's a missing 9X order that
would make the whole basket positive.

It is very difficult to debug someone else's code, so
I'm sure everyone participating here really appreciates
your research effort as much as me.

Regards,
-Drew

I've started a new demo on 20 pairs on November 25th (when you sent 0.94).
I don't have any negative basket closing.

Everything runs fine for me ... I'm even wondering if that is that normal.

Hi David.

I'm glad you are experiencing positive growth. My FXCure EA is all over the place:

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-free-50k-r2m1/770948

This EA is NOT behaving like it's supposed to.

Would you mind making yours public.

----------------------

I relaunched my Sender/Catchers using TEA directly to compare and you can easily the difference:

Sender: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-sender/801380

3X Catcher: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-3x-catcher/806097

6X Catcher: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-6x-catcher/801387

9X Catcher: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-9x-catcher/806101

12X Catcher: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexCuredotcom/tea-12x-catcher/806103

These are how FXCure is supposed to behave - (without having to use a Tradecopier)

------------------------
I will point this evidence out my programmer, but it might be a while for an update.

Hello,

First of all : LOL ! I thought everyone was doing OK as there was no activity on the forum.

If my memory is OK, I think I've installed a new IamFX MT4 just before starting that one and my computer never rebooted since then. (Thanks UPC ! VPS would have done it too)

I really hope that's me having the normally running demo and not you ... Cause If that would have continued that way after another 1 or 2 Fed Announcement, I would have put money on it, with nano lots for a start.

DREW : I really believe the concept is good so I'm 100% with you to push the development.

I'm quite an MT4 coder too. I really believe using 'Global Variables' is not the way to go.

I would have put the corresponding level for each order in the comment of each order as it's like stoned engraved and retrievable easily later on, even after a reboot of the computer. It also doesn't leave uncleaned garbage in the MT4 afterwards.
That's to be discussed with you programmer.

I really hope the project won't be given up on for the difficulties we encounter.
Cause to me, it's good and need to be dug to the bottom.

I attached the html statement also for easier reading.

Cheers to everyone !!!

Here is the plain statement :

Dave you Dog!

Am I ever glad you posted your results! You are on multiplier = 2 (6X and larger).

I went through every basket trade of yours and the EA is doing exactly what it's
supposed to do! What a relief. And, you are up 40% after 8 weeks, Nice.

Is this posted on MyFXBook somewhere? I'd like to use their analytical tools if so.

Another question: How many other MT4's are running on the PC that's running this EA?
(just wondering about noise or why my results are always so pathetic.
- I typically run 12 or more MT4's simultaneously)

You mentioned that your MT4 was not turned off once. I shut down and do maintenance
every Friday evening - Could this be corrupting the data for MY EA?

Well, it appears that the EA is fine in it's current iteration. I will pass on your suggestion to
my programmer and report back to you about a major MOD.

Thanks Dave, you really made my day.

Anyone else have nice results like this? PLEASE SHARE...

Best regards to all...

Drew,

I'm really glad I could be good news carrier and made you day !
I know how it feels like to receive good news on something we care about.
Again : I really like the idea and believe in it.

For now, it's not linked to any Myfxbook.
I'll do it within the next 48hrs and keep you posted.

I guess I'll have to refresh the EAs/Indis list and risk to see the trouble starting. But, hey, that's a way to find out !

There are 5 or 6 others MT4 for various brokers running on the PC so that's not a problem.

I believe (without being 100% positive) the trouble is likely to be linked to reboot/restarts of PC/MT4 iteration.
But I've never worked with global variables as it seemed not practical to me first place.

In its conception, and because there is money on the line, the EA should act perfectly and be able, like TOM's EA, on restart of MT4, to 'site survey' all orders already opened on same currency (symbol) and same MagicNumber. And then, to be able to rebuild the levels from scratch.

That's why I believe convenient and ideal to tag each order with its level.

I don't see a better idea for that tag other than being 'OrderComment( )'.

As per MQL4 documentation (the bible of all coders even experts) :
string OrderComment( ) : Returns comment for the selected order.

So each time a trade is created :
OrderTicket=OrderSend(PAIR, BUY, LOTS, Price , slippage, SL, TP, 'LEVEL2', Magicnumber, Expiration, ColorOfArrowOnChart);

On restart, when site surveying we do :
OrderSelect(Orderticket(), SELECT_BY_TICKET);

Then :
if(OrderComment()=='LEVEL2'){Order_Level=2;}

I don't have all technical specifics of the EA, as I don't have the code, so I don't know if something could prevent us to use that logic ... But that shouldn't be a problem.

Keep me posted my friend.

Cheers to all,

David

Hi Drew and guys,

Me again.

I've added the account to myfxbook :
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/Tradydave/fxcure-that-works/814207

The Profit Factor is just amazing !

BUT I've made a discover : OrderComment() is already used for Order_level storage ...

So I'm wondering why is Global Variables usage needed.
I hope there's no too good answer to that cause I really believe avoid using global variables would solve problem.

That was just my 2 cents.

Cheers Fx_Curer !

Dave. Are you saying that the Global Variables are wiped out when you close MT4?

If yes, then I am wondering how it can possibly recover lower-level orders that are not actual
trades, but where there only in memory in order for tracking and basket-buiilding. (weaving ;)

I can see tallying up the open orders because the broker keeps track. So you can imagine that
lower-level non-trading orders would have to be stored somewhere when the Terminal is closed.

Any, that's a question I'll ask my programmer.

-------------
I started a fresh, clean install and new FXCure on 28 pairs at IamFX and will post it soon.

Drew,

I'm not saying that. I have no clue of how do 'Global Variable' behave. I never use them.
All I see is that something goes wrong when the terminal is restarted.
Could be Global Variables but also could be 'Init' and 'deinit' functions.
I can't say as long as I have no idea what's in these sections in the source code.

Here is my idea to try to simplify things and make them run as expected :
I wouldn't care about 'lower level orders that are not actual trades' as long as there is no real trade.
If you loose that information over a restart, all you loose is time.
Real trade don't vanish on terminal close and real trade carry valuable information : Open Price / Corresponding level in the 'Comment' / TP

Therefore if the terminal is restarted, when the EA resume it has to :
- Site survey trades for a given pair with a given magic number
- Look out for the latest level opened trade
- Check what's the TP to see if there is a need to modify it
- Check if there is a need to open new level trades

And screw the 'lower level orders that are not actual trades' if that has to bring a glitch that would prevent the whole system to run correctly.

Cause ultimate goal is to have the 16% per month profit with that ridiculous DD and risk (assuming it will stay that way in the future. FED Janet Yelen if you're listening ....)

How does that sound ?

One remark : We could already profit from the EA as it is today running it on a VPS server, disabling 'Windows updates'.
Who need updates on a well running PC/Server that doesn't browse Internet and doesn't retrieve emails. Just do MT4.

Some broker require as low as $200 balance on an account to giveaway free VPS lease (ie : Roboforex) and I'm sure we can find even better deals seeking a little bit.
So to me, it's already quite a success Code-wise.
Now the challenge is finding out if your logic of just going for higher level trades will lead to same or better level of profit than TOM's EA without the account-blowing effect.

For my 2 cents : I'm still very optimistic.

Y'All have a great week-end !!!
Cheers,

David

Hi All,

I need your lights on this :

I have a Tom's EA demo running along my FXCure demo.
The USDCAD is trending in a unusual fashion right now.

In TOM's EA (risk 10) I have a basket of 4 sell orders (0.01/0.01/0.01/0.03).
Right now the TP is at 84 pips from the current price and last opened order at 75 pips from the current price.

In FXCure (iRisk 1 Multiplier 3), I have 4 orders (0.06/0.09/0.12/0.15).
Right now the TP is at 148 pips from the current price and last opened order at 136 pips from the current price.

Why is there such a difference ? Is it norrmal ?
DREW : is that a normal behavior in FXCure ? Is it doing what it is supposed to do ?
DREW : as per you post 'Jan 23 at 01:58', the multiplier in my 'FXcure that works' is 3 not 2 as you said. Just in case it changes something for you.

Cheers to all

Hey Dave, my TEA does not agree with yours:it's more in agreement with Forex Cure.
(see attached screenshot)

All I can say is, Forex Cure was developed based on results from v1.86, as I recall, of Tom's EA (TEA)
If your TEA is adifferent version, of course it can different results.

A question back to you. I am testing a clean Forex Cure (emboldened by your excellent and promising results :)
and my multiplier is 3 and so is the iRisk at 3. But, the first order that it launched, after almost a week, was a 9X!
You said yours is also 3, yet you are getting 6X and larger. Makes me go hmmm and ask WTF? (Because a multiplier
setting of 3 is supposed to block all 3X and lower.)

Comments? (Edit: sorry, my MT4 shifted, see next post for proper screenshot)
