Don’t think Greece situation is the problem with Gold. Greece is mainly a big issue for the EU and the most influence in gold comes from US and Arab countries. Just a point of view.

The reason behind gold poor performance is manipulation and institutional selling of gold ETF. 😐

IN short JPMORGAN and similar institutes are using order-flow to push it down and make profits.

Despite the manipulation of gold the volumes allow a weekly return of 30% on average

Greece issue may have weighed over Treasury yields and AUD/JPY pair, but it hasn’t had any noticeable impact on the classic safe haven asset - Gold.

Strong US economy mostly traded in risky times on the US side, oil prices, time of year demand, more value in stocks for now, waiting for price to fall lower.

1270 needs to hold as a floor support for it to go higher, although now isn't a good time to trade it.

The reason gold hasn't broken the bear channel despite strong buying pressure is due to repeat and concerted high volume selling at the bear channel edge AND the US dollar holding value above the .786 monthly fib level due to support from The Fed. Should you sell gold? On what timeframe? Should you trade gold? Yes. It has high volumes of trade and price movement and trades a classic fib structure with definite channels.

No. Not at all. Gold trades in trends and a lot of the trading is simply for profit not sentiment. It travels up and down using the monthly fib as structure. See for yourself on the monthly and weekly chart.

I wouldn't say that Gold 'travels up and down using the monthly fib as structure' . Fib levels can sometimes work but using them alone is suicide. There are a lot things influencing the price of gold to say that price movement is determined by chart levels is misleading

Wouldn't you. But I do. Read the post carefully before replying. The fib is used for structure. Very easy to see. No risk of suicide as you put it.

Thanks for schooling me as a full time trader. Again read the message. The price uses the fib as structure. That shouldn't be hard to understand. At any point I'm replying to the poster not you so please don't comment in detail to carry on a debate. Respect the poster
