Hello @jhnnavoigh
I think Bluemonkey's speaking is quite true,
the new version EA file size and trading comments are the same as version 1.1.
If you read some old discussion thread, some brokers could not close all positions at the same time,
this update is trying to fix this bug.

Blue monkey version 1.2 released.
In this version, force close functionality added to the EA, meaning the EA will keep trying to close trades until all trades are closed.
Please login to members area and download yours.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
A
Is it a manual process to enable this functionality? If so, then when is the right time to do so? Is this something that we would do manually to close a losing set of positions when the DD has reached certain point?
yes, download the new version and reattach it.
That's pretty obvious, but that's not what my question was about...
I was wondering once we attach this new EA to the chart, is there anything else we need to do to enable the force close functionality, for example, by setting up a new parameter to 'Y' to enable the feature, or to 'N' to disable it etc.?

no, the ea now supports some retry when a close trade command is executed.
but the current batches will not be closed, there is no force close.
you can close the batch manually if you want or wait that the EA detect a new close signal and close the batch for you.

Thanks willgart for the info. That's very helpful. I just wish this info came from Alex himself.

Star-Wars 😄
What a beautiful chart :-)
Unfortunately mine was not like that. Both sell and buy positions are still open at the moment, but I cannot blame the EA because I intervened the trade with my own manual close on some of the positions, bringing the TP line further away from where it was originally. Nothing to worry though, only 5% DD at the moment...
Don't hesitate to lower the value of lots if you wish to trade serenely and not to have to intervene manually.
It is better to gain little certainly than to try a risky lottery.
If you have sell and buy positions simultaneously, you are in position of hedging, what freezes the evolution of the drawdown while waiting for the close of these positions.
@gorydan
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, actually I am currently using half of the lot size recommended for BM default settings.

Early days but BM is working well. It seems to have finished with EUR/GBP and taken a rest. If I wanted to use it on another chart, such as USD/CAD or AUD/NZD. Could I attach the EA, then just open a small trade and BM will take over and manage it, or does BM require a signal to start managing a pair?

Finally I got my own Star-Wars, see attached... yea!!!

So at this point all positions have been closed with some nice profit and the EA is taking a rest now.
@Davey, no, I'm pretty sure the EA will not manage the position that we open manually, it only manages the position that was opened with the same magic number as the EA is using. On the other hand, you could close the position that the EA open, and the EA will compensate that by initiating another position at possibly better price.
Another point that I want to make, and this has been my hunch all along but never been confirmed by Alex himself, is that although BMEA is a software that has code/logic running off of our VPS/PC to manage the trade (open/close additional positions), it still relies on the BM server to initiate the first position in a batch. That's the reason I think for those of us who do not have any more open position, the EA will not open new batch until master account does so... again, this is not confirmed, but simply my hunch.
@fx5473br, I'm using v 1.2 now, yes, the trader_comment still says v1.1, but we can change this ourselves.

Hi Alex (Bluemonkey)
Your EA and your system is really like crazy monkey in behavior. The registration gets disconnected and EA stops working. After purgation it stopped working seems you have not registered properly. seems your system is full of errors. Please make sure you see my both e-mails and register is properly.

Hi everyone,
I just signed in to myfxbook after following this discussion since december.
Can anyone explain me how he got the EA working? I've tried everything but in 21 days i haven't seen any trade from Bluemonkey.
My broker is Markets.com, is it supported?
Thank you

After 3 emails to Alex and zero responses in a week (he used to be so fast to respond before I actually bought the EA) I tried and opened a short on EUR/USD but BM did not detect/manage it. So I guess we all have to sit around and wait while the BM Myfxbook account sinks to the 60% drawdown or breaks even before the rest of us can continue. Takes the piss really doesn't it? I'm sure if my account was massively drawdown BM would be opening positions every five minutes!

It really does take the piss! I've stopped running his EA - a complete fraud if you ask me. The strategy clearly isn't based on sound principles. It's prob an EA he got from the net somewhere and decided to sell on his website.
Anyway - I, like many others fell into the trap of buying this piece of shit.

I am in the same boat as you, not at all happy. Good thing I stopped running this EA a few months ago, after losing 30% twice. Once in September and then again in October.

It is true that there is no logic on the fact that the various pairs are almost never traded simultaneously. Would it be in the code of bluemonkey to avoid trading all the pairs at the same time ? Or then would we be dependent on the opening of the first one trade from a server so that the robot begin to work ? as well suggested by @hokie .
I know that alex had guaranteed us, in the past, that the robot which we bought is totally independent, and it must be, for our safety. I would not let my money be managed from a server.
I ask for explanations to @bluemonkey to light us on this sudden lack of activity and for the future of this EA. We just pay for a licence, not to be client of a PAMM.
