@Davey thanks so much for the great info. It's very helpful.The reason I was asking you about the pairs that don't work with BMEA was because I wanted to compare notes as I think GBP/AUD is not managed by BMEA too, like the JPY crosses. But your 2 pairs are different. It will be interesting to see how your new strategy will pan out in a few weeks. Good luck, man!In the meantime, enjoy your trip to Fiji !!

@maiamrn Thanks for the response. Just to make sure when you said "I *hardly* recommend to let it ON" above, did you really mean that, or you meant to say "I highly recommend to let it ON" ? Regarding the choice of 4 pairs this week, is this only for this week, or you're going to use the same 4 pairs only going forward? Any particular reason why you used only 4 pairs this week, and not a dozen or so as you recommended (more diversified, to reduce risk) a few weeks ago?

@gorydan and @Marketorder , thanks for the comments. I knew I was not alone with the problem this week as my other BMEA account with manual entry took a beating too. I remember a few months back someone in the BMEA forum said that if we know the trend, we'll master the trade, and someone else replied that the problem is not about not knowing the trend, but knowing when the trend ends and reverses, that what will make you the master of the trade. This is the second week of using Banana v1.2. As I indicated in previous message, for this week I turned off the 'amortization algorithm' and the 'reverse when the daily trend change' settings to match more closely to the master (real-deal) account. One week with Banana Add-on v1.2, and my demo account balance was up 10+%. While it is not bad achievement by all standard, one interesting thing have caught my attention: The 10% gain was attained at the end of the week after quite a bumpy ride on the account balance. For example, one day the profit might go up by 5%, the next day the system took small losses and the profit went back down to 2%. The next day it went up again and so on.. Great!! But even the current banana 1.1 version is spectacular already. In 2 weeks putting this EA into action on my demo account, the initial current balance of $5200 has already "exploded" to $10488, and with the current Floating loss around -$2236, leaving the equity around $8252. Not bad at all...

@maiamrn so sorry to see your demo account plummeting this week erasing all the gains, but just want to give you a little encouragement before you're thinking of dumping the Banana add-on (I hope not), that for the past 1 week I put the banana add-on into action in my demo account, the account has survived this brutal week with a nice profit. I found the same thing, it looks like the BMEA doesn't manage any JPY cross, including USDJPY and EURJPY.

Thanks for the confirmation.That's true with the script we'll have to open a new basket every time the previous one is closed.I'm thinking of maybe one day writing a simple EA that will only open a new basket with the same magic number as the BMEA, so once the basket is open, the BMEA will take over to manage and close it.

I'll be darned... after opening the trade manually with the script on the GBPUSD last night, I actually saw a new position opened by the EA this afternoon. Do you also see it on your account on GBPUSD (not just the UC, but the GU as well)? If so, then we can confirm that the script trick indeed works! Please confirm @jhnnavoigh

The BMEA is not a trade copier, but it's more like a hybrid, it has its own logic running locally on our VPS/PC to manage the positions (add and close positions), but it requires a signal from the server to initiate a new batch.Luckily, with the script I mentioned in previous email, we would be able to initiate a new batch ourselves without relying on the signal from the server anymore.
