I don't understand on the drawdown tab there is drawdown as high as 123% (May 2014), and negative equity? How is this possible on a real $ account (or even a demo account for that matter)?

I just got my first winning trade with this new EA. Fantastic! AUDCAD sell which I just closed out early rather than wait for it to close in the master account because I setup the wrong lot sizes as I didn't read the instructions properly so I was getting nervous as it was quite big lots being used. 0.50x of Dougs lot size on my small balance. There were not many scary moments!
I could see a hammer form on the H1 so I agreed with the entry. It was a good setup, then I saw my MA2 indicator cross earlier and that further confirmed the entry so I let it run.
It really is still early days for now but we're off to a good start. I hope when any other purchasers come along, we can discuss on here.
Disclaimer - I am not connected with Doug Price in any way. I talk with him from time to time to talk about the EAs and the market generally but other than that, I don't know him. I don't even know his real name! So basically, I am trying to say that this is really a completely independent posting of mine not to upsell because the EA clearly doesn't need upselling!
Let me know if I can help with something.

Do you know what the strategy is behind the EA? What type of Channel?
PS. I have RTP and VTP Copier. Stopped using RTP for now, but VTP Copier is doing really well.

Hi Gwindy, he mentioned it was an M1 breakout. Not sure exactly but I could clearly see a hammer signalling a reversal on AUDCAD so I agreed with the entry. Wish I had left it open now for a few more pips.
Pivot Trader Pro has been making me gains also, just I'm stuck in 10% DD at the moment which isn't bad but all of my entries have thus far closed with profit on PTP.

Leverage?
I am a doughball. Anyway - I think the problem is myfxbook and the way they calculate drawdown. The drawdown has never been more than 100% because it says on the main summary 24%. I am not sure.
Anyway - I trust this guy, sorry but I do. ALL of my trades have been matching his on VTP and PTP since starting with the trade copier. RTP I've simply shut off for now.
I wish those constantly questioning performance would simply wait around until some people have delved in and bought it and are running it. If we have a trader copier setup, surely thats all the evidence you need to say that these EAs make money?
Anyway - report over and done with for my now - First winning trade complete, cant wait for the rest.

even if the DD is badly calculated by MyFXBook, generally with a lower amount, in this case it was 123%, is the EA a martingale system? or no SL setup?
something not working correctly here.
I there an FX Blue published account too?
this system has a great DD calculation.
Edit:
I found one

here the DD chart:

the DD was around 50%

If you look at the balance chart which also shows equity, May 27th 2014 equity was $1,554 from an initial deposit of $4,950 (so 68% down from original deposit. The 148% drawdown is percentage decrease in equity growth which shows on the first graph under Growth had me little confused there. Regardless you would certainly want to be running it at a lower risk than the developer, unless you have nerves of steel and can watch a $5K account goto $1,554 and not be concerned... good luck to those using it.

I notice if you click on custom analysis and change no boxes options etc, just click analyze it shows the 123% drawdown like it shows on the drawdown tab. Strange that the broker seems to have allowed the account to go into negative floating balance and not closing out trades at a stop out level as per normal industry practice... or can myfxbook staff hopefully provide an explanation. I have reported it to myfxbook staff so hopefully they can advise what's going on and if there is a bug.
