PS I know I cannot run a PC and VPS simultaneously as I will get duplicate trades, but I assume it is OK to check MT4 on the android app etc.? Will this disturb CTP?

Lets Say you Have two trades open AUD USD AND AUD CAD .. THE Stopl loss is 200 pips . the percentage pf losses in Usd currency may be aproximately % 2-2.4 usd account balance so 22 to 25 leverage of balance and risk is equal to %50 draw down. If you have 1:500 leverage and risk % 25 or %40 of your account you are less than MARGIN CALL and lose nearly %90 of your balance in any brokerage firm. but it is like a gamble over %33 of risk i think if 3 trades opened here and exceed 200 pips draw down.Doug I realized started with %50 risk and more )) at the start of channel trader pro now he is at a level of %3.5 to %8 risk . so he decresed risk if you check all 400 trades it is clearly seen.😎😁

Thanks for the replies alimertin.

I've currently got my mine set to 50% drawdown as I said. However, I have set the 'CalculateLotsMode' set to 'Percent from balance' which I have then set as 0.5%.

I haven't specified a max number of open orders - the default is 1000. Does this mean as it currently stands, I COULD (in theory at least) have 200 open orders and wipe out my account (as each order is worth a maximum of 0.5% of account balance)? The manual didn't mention anything about changing the number of open orders so I just left it alone.

Am I right in assuming that the EA's stop loss will close the trade when it has gone so far in the wrong direction that my '0.5%' has been lost?

Been reading a bit more about this - I really need to do some proper educating myself on this so I fully understand what the EA is doing!!!

If I initially leverage 0.5% of my account (let's say $50 on a $10000 account) 1:100, that would make my order $5000??

A 200 pip shift in the wrong direction triggering the stop loss would mean my $5000 becomes $4900, therefore I lose 1% of my account despite only leveraging 0.5% initially.

Is that correct?

yes you are right , 200 pips İS NEARLY EQUAL TO %2 -2.4 loss and you may lose %! but this BABY has %97-99 win ratio and it is more stable than OTHER EAS . no open trades at the same time more than 3 or 4 . I am sure about this. 23 to 24 trades per month . ı use fixed lots and ı will change it every week . it can be lots scaling, and percentage of balance works proparly . VPS eats and beats all the chicken and spits out bones, cartilages and scraps...:)) so VPS is a must in this PRO EAs.

if your balance is 10.000 usd dollars YOU CAN LOSE 100 or 120 usd .but this has 3 out of 400 chance less than %1 . > = % 0.75 as seen in trade history. 😄

I started with CTP in early July 2015. I am at 88% win rate. The draw down so far is 28% which is high. The gain in profit was 39% for July. August is -2.17% no profit. I remaining positive may have lower lot size due high draw down.

Dear pendana I think you are lucky about passing 200 pips drawdown and using 4 times higher risk here after that loss about out of 27 trades 24 win ..and you win %39 congratulations . in my opinion in your risk altitude %14 for each trade %30 to %40 draw down is normal cos it is floating and you can never lose more than %22 if a -200 pips one trade occurs.so relax and have fun . you are a sacred person . i hope we never get -200 pips loses for at least a long time like 6 or 8 months ))

This EA has TRADE Copier and you may have better results than vendor cos ping delay ms can be advantage for you in some cases .. It is really best many big pro companies can produce Hedge E A versions of channel trade and can make others cry )) big fish always like well directed high probable pullback target EA s ..I am working of coding of HEDGE VERSIONS OF DOUG PRICE EAs risk can be half or a quarter of original ones.i even do not know how to do it. Hey guys. Something wired happened in hoping one of you can explain it to me. This last EurJpy sell trade closed out for me on my end at -60 pips. Much different from vendor. Vendor had +5 pip win. I do have a custom stop loss set at -80 pips. But I don't think it hit that. The actual order was sell price 138.060 with SL 138.916 and TP 137.066 the trade closed at 138.661 on my vps with myfxchoice. big difference from Doug's. Any ideas how that could have happened ??

dear rob CHANNEL trader and c-vortex trader pro both eas NEEDS MORE THAN 110 PİPS stop losses for EUR USD ALSO FOR 3 PAİRS İN CHANNEL İT İS not not not efficient and profitable to put ameaturish 60 70 80 pip stop . it is a big mistake. and ı think you should ask your broker if your account is TRUE ECN OR NOT first . my account is TRUE ECN at the same levels my tades executed like vendors. no problem in 2 weeks test for me :))

It is a true even account I will ask the broker and let you know their response. Alimertin I thought you were using a smaller custom SL for vortex. Am I mistaken?
