hi folks

it seems there is only one version of FGB available for sale by the vendor now? is the old power source edition discontinued?

Hey guys, does anyone know of a way to set growth bot to move stops to break even after a 10 pop profit? It would seem that this would prevent the huge losses without substantially reducing gains. I'm not sure if there is this function in power edition or if you need to use something like Swiss army ea to do this for you, in which case growth bot has a function to ensure open trades match the internal logic so by a 3rd party closing the trade, growth bot would just open new positions of the same value if I've got that right...

In a perfect world i wound like to see growth bot exit based on major previous horizontal support and resistance levels but I don't know if this can be programmed

I got +34 pips net, since I slipped two losers and did not close them at BE or small loss: sell order on 23.8 and buy order on 24.8. I shut down bot after that since nothing good will come out from Jackson's hole ..

Thanks, I guess by "use a trailing EA" you mean to use something like Swiss Army EA, btw, does anyone know where to download this from? I know a few people on this forum are using it, would you be able to share the settings that are working for you? my thoughts are to move to breakeven after 10 pips in profit to prevent whipsaws from turning a profitable trade into a losing one... but I'm sure much more can be done :o)

Today great performance. I got 4 trades on copier and closed down for 70 pips total, due to the 35 pips trailing stop. otherwise would be closer to 200 pips I believe. I am removing trailing stop and leave basket management and Break even at 9 pips profit only. Let small runs be stopped at zero, but the best trades taken usually run into profit without retreating below/above entry.

same here 4 trades. 3 closed, 1 still floating. 3 closed trades about +92pips (TS 15 pips).
i think TS more reliable then basket management or Break even.

You are correct. Easiest way is to use google to search. The settings all depend on you tolerance for drawdown. The tighter your trail, the more it will kill your profit though.

If you do a Fibo with FGB graph it is a about 50% pullback :)

I do not use compuforex or FGB anymore. If you want a small but assured profit, set the trail start at 10-25 pips, trail % at 50-75, trail min at 10%. Otherwise, use trail % ~90. Set the pips as for a 4 digits brocker.
Use simple decay rate of 0.01-0.05, disable exponential mode. Decide for yourself if you want a wait time (in minutes) until the trailling will start when in profits, based on your experience with FGB.
Attach the robot to a time frame of 15, 30 or 60 minutes, also based on experience or own preferences.

What do you think guys, is this the end of FGB?

Someone's end is always another one's beginning. FGB works just fine, all you need to do is to recognize the market, switch off when conditions are horrible, and use BE and TS based on market conditions. And it will make money. Last two weeks for me 280 pips. Reference account -550. Not sure what they do with trade copier which is supposed to have some manual intervention, it does not have any, but it is convenient to run at brokers with less favorable for FGB price feed.
