FGB works just fine, all you need to do is to recognize the market, switch off when conditions are horrible, and use BE and TS based on market conditions. And it will make money. Last two weeks for me 280 pips. Reference account -550. Not sure what they do with trade copier which is supposed to have some manual intervention, it does not have any, but it is convenient to run at brokers with less favorable for FGB price feed.

mine, Aug 17 - Aug 31 (2 weeks), i've got net pips 201. lucky you... could you share your success here :)

No modifications - I get signals from the trade copier, so it is exactly as on their account. I just manage trades instead of letting it flow by itself. FGB's trade management approach is fine for a trending market, but we are in a chop shop for several month, trade without tight management is a catastrophe.

Just checking it and making decisions. I could be 40 pips more and had only 1 losing trade if only I cut it short, but it did look like further movement was possible. Still ok.

Amen. I've never posted on this thread just lurked. But I believe that FGB is a great robot but not really a 'fully' automated robot. I let it enter trades and then baby sit it. I exit manually most of the trades that it opens. Result = 217 pips this past week.

It seems that developers close the EA. Because it did not open any trades in their account today. In my account, it opened 4 orders and i closed them manually. I hope that they are making some changes for the exit strategy.

FGB seems that it's death... No automated wins. I closed it in my accounts. I'm tired to control the orders manually. When i missed the orders it's allways loose.

I suggest you run a backtest

1999 March, April, May - three losing months in a row followed by
1999, September, October, November - three losing months in a row followed by
2000, February, March, April - three losing months in a row followed by
2000, September, October, November - three losing months in a row followed by
2001, August, September, October - three losing months in a row followed by
2002, February, March, April - three losing months in a row followed by
2007, March, April, May - three losing months in a row

Those are just the periods that it lost three months in a row, there are also plenty of singular losing months and two months losing in a row.

Trading is a long term game of patience, belief and iron discipline. Although I guess if you've lost faith in this EA then you can always trawl the market of trash out there for something else that might work until it has a few losses and you lose confidence in it again.

I find it works very well with manual interaction, but even 10-15 pips break even and some 15 pips trailing stop will ensure it will most likely have every month a winning one. So a basic trade management EA turns it around well.

Most true ECN brokers will be fine with the FGB since it is not a scalper. Avoid market maker type accounts at all costs. Matter of fact I would even go so far as to discourage STP accounts because the broker is affecting the price directly.

You can use their copier off TF feed where it works best, and then you use copier on any MT4 broker you like with no worry about feed, manipulation etc

FGB finished today. It lost control of the trades. I closed them manually with big losses.
I had orders -90 pips but still open!... Disaster!
