I stopped this EA back in 2011 after 6 months of live testing because of losses when I first bought it. I thought I would give it another try this year and I gave it another two months and just as expected all I got was losses...back to manual trading again at least i am accountable for my losses.

How could you lose money using that EA during that time?!!?? It was quite profitable in 2011 with few losing months?? You've must've ordered lot sizes too large for our account to handle...

Yes, it's still within it's long term equity curve though.

I would love to see this EAs long term equity curve.

The traditional playing is also a drawdown
Auto also has
This is normal and losses must be reconciled
Important that the curve of capital in the long term increases

I would love to see this EAs long term equity curve.

I would say 2 1/2 years is fairly long term in forex trading. So you can see it here and it is keeping to a fairly straight trajectory, one of the things that makes this EA so attractive.

Best regards Steve

R.I.P FGB :(
The banks seem to be pissed off because of this ea and trade against it at the moment. 😞
I had to switch it off.

Yes I believe there was a high level meeting this week between all the chief exec's of the major banks to discuss how to handle FGB. 😇

It's just been a bad period of whipsawing markets, nothing to do with FGB at all in my opinion.

While it has violated it's equity curve now there's no reason to believe that a good series of trends isn't around the corner. Although it is once again ( as it has been before with FGB ) squeaky bum time. It just shows that a diversified trading portfolio makes good sense.

Best regards Steve

This loss streak is very painful. I imagine what is suffering someone that has began using this bot in a real account on Wensday 1 May : only 2 days and 11 % of drawdown in the balance.
This psicological wound, is very hard to handle, even trading with a bot that was tested widely with good performance in the long term.
For this reason I consider very important that the first trades be succesful , because it is easier to bear a loss streak after a winning streak instead of a loss streak since the begining.

Amazingly, I still have not started trading FGB.
However despite today's price action, and despite Steve's comment that FGB has violated its equity curve, I still think this has good longer term prospects. Also about Steve's comment, I honestly felt that FGB had violated its equity curve at the end of July 2012. It made a lower low. Then look what happened. This might be a good time to start trading, or add funds etc to existing accounts.
Regards
Daniel

yikes. What a beating this bot took this week. Hope when I start using it on a real account that its performance will now be in the positive.

.....'This might be a good time to start trading, or add funds etc to existing accounts.....'

Hello Sarnder. I would like focus in the last phrase of your post. It reflects the most common thinking way of the people. For example, in the roulette when the people notice that one number is not appear during a long time, begin to bet it, because thinks that is more probable that will soon appears. This way of thinking has nothing of cientific basis. After a streak of losses, nothing determine that will come a streak of gains; moreover, the high volatility that causes this losses streak, may not to finish soon causing new streaks of losses, again and again.
The developer of the bot, might release a new version of it, where after a big period of high volatility, disable the EA for doing further trades. This is what I do manually, unfortunately, after these losses affected seriously my account.

Despite the terrible beating I've took in the past three months...I'm barely in the black..I can understand a 19% draw down in a month...but in a day!?!?!? I just hope it'll shoot up....its overdue...

I have two live accounts, both trade with fgb. Sad to say that I am experiencing the big drawdown now.

I will continue to stick with fgb for two years and let's what is happening to my account in 2015 April!
