Not sure what is going on with MYFXBOOK calculations but it is wrong. I only had one big loss (about $100) and its because I accidentally opened two trades on the wrong account (AUDJPY). I am trying to keep this account for funnel trader only which only closes in a loss in extreme slippage.

I figured out why. You must deposit a lot when you were in big loss. Myfxbook calculated the loss all to your previous small balance which course a large percent loss. And mfb calculated the later profit gained to the after-depositing balance which making the profit percent relatively small. Then MFB just add the 2 figures up to get your final profit percent.

I was on vacation and forgot to add funds to the account before I left. I keep it low just to avoid any potential flash crash like the GBP in October 2016 or the CHF in January 2015. If that happens, at least I would only lose a small portion of my trading capital.
The other issue is the way myfxbook does the calculation it makes it look like I lost much more than I did. It's best to look at the profit, not the growth. The growth calculation is messed up because I withdraw and deposit a lot. The robot was in the biggest drawdown it ever had and because I forgot to add money, it stopped me out for about $500. Overall, since 11/16 this account was up 2200 and I lost the 500 so it's now up about 1800 I believe. Still a great return on my 4000 investment.

No. Its a bad calculation from myfxbook. I was on vacation and forgot to deposit more margin before I left. The system went into a drawdown while I was away (of course) and I was stopped out on a few positions. I quickly deposited money when I found out but it was too late.
I am consistently withdrawing profits from this system. Once in a while I have to deposit more margin as it can go into large drawdowns but its normal. Great system overall.
I just created a system that trades 15 pairs. Its did quite well for me in testing so I'm running it live. So far so good! I'll put it up here asap on myfxbook. Just switched accounts with it now so it will be a newer account so all results will be from scratch.

It really is brilliant. The past month was one of my all-time best. Just remember to keep more $ on hand because it will eventually go into a deep drawdown that seemingly never ends and will require up to 5k margin.. The market always retraces so I never worry bout it anymore.
Are you using different settings or stock? I have only tried stock settings so far but I'm planning on bumping it. I know a guy who uses a 200+k account with this system so it is possible to have some serious coin invested with it.

Hi Ryan. What risk setting do you use? I tried the free version with AVA trade but blew my 1K account. I'm thinking of buying it to use on my broker IC Markets, but I'm concerned about the drawdown. Did you have the risk up high when you had large drawdowns?

Use a cent account with 1:500 leverage
It works great with $150 and above!
Continue to deposit money untill you got $5000k usd, so after that you can invest more and more money with defaut settings on ecn account. :)

It is not bad calculation myfxbook. Funnel Trader is martingale strategy and that's why it happened. Just look at history.
100% my fault because I did not deposit funds but the reason I say it's bad calculating because I only lost about $500. Look at my total profit. I simply forgot to deposit money before I left for my vacation (holiday, whatever you want to call it :) and the broker stopped out my trades during a high drawdown period. It was an honest mistake. You can seey profit is almost $4000. How can $500 loss be a 100% loss? How is it possible to have a 400%+ gain? It's all bad calculating. Call it martingale, grid, doesn't matter. I've been running for 2 years with no issues other than my own stupidity that one time.
I've also created my own system based on a grid that I back tested for 15 years and it never had drawdown larger than 4k. I've also created a portfolio, up to 15 pairs, with NO grid or Marti and works great. Both are just different methods to trade fx and both work well for me. I would not use grid or Marti for clients just because I can't ask clients to deposit on demand.
Funnel, imho, is a great system for a real trader, not someone who doesn't monitor it. Or good for someone with a 10k account who wants a set and forget. My way is this... Keep $1k in the account & reserve $ aside to deposit and it will work fine. Funnel is not my creation so I don't have reason to defend it but I do make $ from it and consider it to be a part of my portfolio.
