Found this post by occasion. I bought the FXJet a few week ago and was testing it on a demo account. I really like it. Honestly, it is a really good EA for several reasons:
- The system, on which it is sold makes sure, that the EA places (copies) exactly the same positions as on the MyFxBook account. I tried other systems before and it was usually a huuuge issue. "Your broker, your spread, your xxx..." This one tries really hard to deliver the same stuff the author sells here.
- The EA uses usally 2 positions before hitting SL. Last week SL of EURUSD was hit. I felt that the distance between these two position was adjusted to low volatility times. Anyway, the EA has a "okish" SL of "only" one week of profits. So also according to the track record, you will need about one week to recover. And these events happen only from time to time.
- I am not affiliated with the author. I just know how much work it is to build an EA of that quality and really appreciate the work.
Well it is recovered very quickly because a huge trade is opened which most often wins back the losses, but could also just lead to blow the account. Apparently there is a drawdown protection in place, which makes the system even more strange (if you have a SL, why would you need a drawdown protection?)
So if you run the system, why don't you publish the account?
As of account publishing: I dont have to. I checked the trades and they are the same. Forexstore uses a trade-copier to make that sure.
As of the "if you have a SL, why would you need a drawdown protection?": Please be very, very careful with such "direct deductions". A good system, believe me, requires many safety nets. It can be implemented in may ways. FxJet stops trading if 20% (e.g.) of the account are burned by EURUSD. Others switch to a second price action pattern, if the first fails
Anway, we have today a huuge EURUSD position in FxJet. Which seems to work out well. Lets wait for a day and see how it ends.

Just so you know that this is a micro account because they use a strategy similar to martingale (increasing lots) like all their EAs on Forexstore with their own rating of 10 points. For example, when you have a profit of $16000, you actually earned $160. This is proof that they are afraid to risk real money.

Can that really be true, how do you know. Is it not a verified account, showing real time results.

I think it should have a spread filter. Yesterday a big volume of EURUSD was open during the night when market were closed with a very high loss and spread.
Also I had no order of EURUSD and it opened as Jetbot order number 3. I had closed the orders before and reduced the risk, the EA should understand that it was a new strategy with a lower volume.

Of course you don't have to. But so far I have only seen the authors account which uses the EA, not a single other account that shows the EA is working as expected. That doesn't build my trust, because the EA might have different results with other brokers.

Thing is: Let's say you have all 5 pairs with open trades, each with a 5% drawdown, which is OK for each pair. But the EA will close them because you have more than 20% drawdown. That's not good, especially because the backtest results are useless then.
I understand why you want a safety net. But the safety net should be below the SL.

I wish you good luck. For me, those are suicide positions.
Seems like statistics work out well, but still looks dodgy.

Where did you get that line and how can you see it's a micro account?

All they accounts use broker FXOpen (micro account), because they use a dangerous martingale strategy and they are aware that the account can blow in a few days or even years, as it happened with the popular FXCharger and there blow $40,254.

Oh, now I see it in the statement, thanks.
Well I mean, they could have withdrawn a lot of money, but you're right, if they don't trust their own EA, then it doesn't make sense that anybody else does it.

Thank you.
What you describe here sounds more like a portfolio of EAs balancing/control
Do you know of a system (for sell), which does that?
From time to time I meet people trying it but the challenge is that is must be designed according to the underlying EAs. And that takes a lot of time to develop both.

Do we know if this is true, they do not trust their own EA, so they are using a cent account.

I also didn't see it at first, but the part "USD 10.00" gives it away.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. I had replied in haste without looking. That’s disappointing, very hard to understand why anyone would expect others to invest in an EA that is being promoted based on its track record, but only using a cent account.

I have seen in other places how these EAs have fallen... the problem with these systems is that they are too high risk. It is one thing to go with forex with a 2 percent risk and another is to go with an EA that at some point has a position with 20 percent of the compromised account .... forex is probabilities it is obvious that you will have more probabilities risking only 2 percent per position than 20 percent
