It's not really relevant unless MDP is trading, that's when all the orders are coming through at the same time and things can get pretty clogged up. Hopefully Pepperstone have provided a "wider pipe" to allow the big flow of orders to pass through more smoothly=)

Could you do a test-trade with a EA that measures the time? I am really curious to know if this somehow improved the execution time. But OK, let´s wait until MDP traded.

Totally agree Daniel - we won't know how well Pepperstone performs until it's simultaneously flooded with orders. Execution times right now are lighting fast though. I just put a trade on and it was filled instantly.
There are a number of factors which affect execution time including, as mentioned above, how many orders are being processed by the broker at any one time, market volatility, and market liquidity. I'll keep this thread updated with my results once MDP executes some trades - we should see some activity in the next 24 hours.

Lol!
Pepperstones big NY move did absolutely nothing to improve things..
MDP just did a few trades on the EURUSD movement.
Avg Exec Time: 2084ms
Avg Open Time: 4589ms
Avg Modify Time: 1460ms
Avg Num Unsuccess: 0.18 per transaction
Using VPS in same datacenter, 1ms latency.
Disabling MDP once again.

I've got 2 accounts at Pepperstone, same MDP 1.2.0, same settings (default), same equity, same VPS (Silver Plan),
latency 2 ms.
Horrible times on both accounts:
Account #1 = + 24 pips today
Exec Time = 3817 ms
Open Time = 6800
Modify Time = 4100
Account #2 = + 7 pips
Exec Time = 4400 ms
Open Time = 7100 ms
Modify Time = 4200 ms

too many people using mdp on pepperstone, they are killing the servers
They've been promising to us that situation would significantly improve, they knew how many MDP users traded with them and what kind of infrastructure was needed, run 1 week testing period..... all this sounds like a bullshit to me :(

can i know how to check times? I'm running it on my own pc, made 1 trade so far on think forex demo acc. loss -4.4pips.
Turn diagnostics to TRUE mode. A few seconds after, a text should appear on your M1 window showing all times

Last week with pepperstone. I wait for 3 weeks for better ex. times. But first results show that there's no big difference.
The average times are 2000ms. Very very slow again.
If it will not change till Friday i'll closed my accounts with that fraud broker.

wow that is ridiculous. Maybe some of you can run this ExTestForExpat EA ( open, modifies, deletes pending orders) from your VPS and give us a better idea regards to execution.
We would like to know if execution is slow only during MDP trades( These results above clearly display this) or All the time. If its only at MDP TIME, then I'd expect something fishy is going on at Pepperstone.
