But gbpusd by itself is smooth ok gain (), 60% in a year with only 3% dd and plenty of action trades, instead of just 1 micro for 1,000 two micros yielding 6% dd and slightly more than doubling an acct is by itself quite good. A kind of 'who needs these' other pairs thing 😝

You are seeing why I believe it has potential. 😉

I did a quick calculation for estimated margin usage, based on 50:1 leverage. Using $300/0.1 lot as my safe reference, a person should be able to safely use 0.2 lot with a $10k account. Assuming all 12 allowed positions are open concurrently, the margin usage would be $7200. This leaves plenty of room for all trades to go to stoploss without coming close to a margin call.

There's softwares that can combine mt4 reports, I'm sure you know. Good way to play around to see what's possible.

Here is the portfolio graph

EDIT: The reason I decided to post this is because it demonstrates what can happen when there are concurrent losing streaks across several pairs, and the same for winning.

We are talking about maximum, possible, safe lot size in 50:1 leverage for 12 concurrent open trades. This is not attempting to address possible future-losing-streak-generated margin call. That can happen at any lot size.

Nice job fughe,
So for a Thou acct w/ a micro running it only double the acct in 4 yrs with more than 2 yrs stagnation, yipes! If run 1 mini the dd is near 30%, weren't you talking 2 micros? So that be 4X an acct with 6% dd, so-so, but the stagnation stinks.
Back to gbpusd by itself, see what you can favorably get with that? It seemed the best.

Hi Batchboy, how you do the back test because backrest of this EA (REV Trader) is very slow. Is your backtest report is for REV Trader ?

I was just commenting and posting back up a .png shot of Antny's tests. Ask him or fughe how they do the tests. Not sure how basic kind of instruction you want to do basic mt4 testing. If it is basic best get info from web.

Hi Steven31! But haven't FX4You bad results? Thought I saw that somewhere. Maybe you are running on different settings. BR

Hi Steven31, I am using same EA FX4YOU but I don't get good results. Can you please tell me which pairs you are using and send me the setting file.

Actually, I made those settings by myself.
Vendor said it will be risky to trade so small account, but i just wanted to test it..
I done a lot of backtests, tried to change variables until get stable results.

Try to change variables and do various backtests, then you will understand the way it trades.

By the way vendor suggest it to use on M15
I tried also M30 and H1
It will trade less, but with great entries.

This is commercial EA, I can't give it for free.
You need to contact with vendor.

Hi Steven31,

Thanks for your post.

Could you please kindly share your own settings with us?

Please also mention which preset file is for which pair, and for which time-frame so that I can use them correctly.

+++ By the way, do you mean that if using the same preset file on M30 and H1, the entry prices are better than on M15? Do you also use the ea on M15, together with M30 and H1? or currently, you are only using the ea on M30 and H1?

Fewer trades are not important, as long as it has good risk/rewards and great entries that produce much better profits per month, while reducing max drawdown.

Waiting to receive your own settings via email soon.

Thanks a lot, and have a nice day !

Hi Jerry,

I am considering ClickBank and other options. Until then I can accept Paypal or Moneybookers directly if they do not want to use my current processor. My account and the lot sizes are now appropriate for the size.. it was high risk, but i was pushing the system to its limits.

backtests

I started out doing tick, but it was horribly slow. So I tried control points, and I noticed there was virtually zero difference in the resultant trades. So...here are tests for the 4 primary currencies, using the default settings.....except lot size. I used fixed 0.01 lot. I had intended to run them on $1000, but forgot to change it. So they are all on $10k.

My personal thoughts--- I believe the system has potential. It does NOT handle sudden, major shifts in the trend well at all. Since the market spends most of its time in ranges, this may be overcome. I have it running on demo currently while I analyze the backtests in more detail.

I can't see any potentional there.

I am using other EA for ~2 months.
Started with 200EUR

And yeah, I see potentional, a few guys keep saying, that one day it will blow up, but i don't care.
I will just withdraw my deposit and partly earnings time to time...

Hmm, actually looks promising.
I will give a try.

Can anyone tell me if this EA actually works? The backtest from the set file downloaded gives horrible results over 1 year.
