It's so dang expensive. I can buy a brand new Xbox One with that money. My wife is definitely not going to agree with my spending my money on something that is risky. :/

I concure, I have done this many times with other EAs that cost even more and regret it very much.,

I don't want to regret it. I don't want to do something that will cause my family to lose money. We can't afford to lose money at all. We can hardly afford the rent right now..

@SubTh3ory With Xbox 1 you cannot make money, that's the difference why good EA won't be for free.

No, the difference is that I don't know if this will make me money. It's making you money now, but could crash the moment I start using it.
In other words, I am taking a risk. My wife will not allow that.

Look like you don't really understand draw-down.

Draw-down are losing trade but those trade have not closed, so they are not lost trade.

I have a draw-down of 55% but there are no lost trade mean that the 55% ended up becoming profit trade.

So if you are saying a system with 55% is not making money, i believe you don't understand the draw-down properly.

Well, i have achieved 1200%. So there is no chance i will be wiped.

So confident you should seek VC investors instead of poor retail traders... Top Hedge funds make less than 20% a year. A good year is 5% with 2-3 billions in portfolio. Don't say stuff like that, I understand the logic behind it but, there is still a *strong possibility that drawdown ends up being a loss, don't confuse people and tell them it won't be a loss.

I do understand Drawdown, I just am not sure if the strategy itself is going to continue to be consistently profitable. I've been watching many EA's in the past that were profitable for 5 months or more and still ended up failing for some reason. Until I have money to pay for the EA, I am just going to keep track of how it works.

I think anything under 30% DD is worthy in FX. Even still 30% is a lot of money to look at when all things considered the odds are against you. 30% should be worst case. So maybe could use this but lowered risk settings.

Ok, i will take up the challenge to proof you guys that low draw-down can be achieved. Thus i have stop my account and will transfer over a new account with the same system. But this time with a low draw-down.

The new account will have draw-down below 30%, will run for more than 5 month.

See you guys soon and happy trading. =)

It is not death. i withdraw a large amount of profit. As such sudden increase in drawdown due to profit withdrawal.

Did you read my previous post? I have indicated the reason.

I would like to request a backtest from 2008 until now on this given you seem to pride yourself so much on research and testing models. Please and thank you.

It seems like a backtest would be difficult on this system since it's not entirely automated and you have to change the direction you're trading when the trend changes.

Exactly, not possible to backtest it in the long term since this is semi-automated trading system and trader's decisions are still necessary.
