May I suggest Sphantom you introduce a trailing stop on all remaining trades and try to catch as much of the possible retracement to 1.36 before the next leg lower. At least then you may be able to salvage something

I am hoping that a 65 pip sl will solve the problem so that recovery would typically be with 6 to 10 winning trades.

seems to me that a 250 pip stop loss is a self destructive time bomb. They thought it would never be triggered but they were fooled by the market.

Have scaled back on my risk level greed = frayed nerves. Keep up the good work

Very good strategy to scale back on risk - the higher the amount, the less your risk should become. TWO things will blow up your account: Not enough money (equity) in the account to ride out a turbulent market condition or setting TOO HIGH risk even if that account have millions!

It will be a rough market ending for us. we might loose this day :(

Yes I understand Risk factor / Draw Down However if I am risking 25% and my drawdown was not more than 50% and R3DWiNG was running 5% risk with a Draw Down of over 50% how does that work!? Also in terms of the current trade with deadline fast approaching as an old South African friend used to say. PLAYING WITH THE LIONS BALLS!

As I said before they are 2 different parameters. When yous use Risk 10 then the EA would open 0.1 standard lot size for each 1000$. If you use 120 pips SL then in case of stop loss you would have about (120+ 80) pips SL what cause 20% DD.

Any updates on when the EA is going to start trading again or are you going to wait and see if/when the US defaults?

Yes, very impressive.... Looks nice.... DD is acceptable on occasion for that kind of growth. Great small starting balance for the avg joe to start into the forex EA markets.
