Australia Balance of Trade
Primarily result of an increase in resource exports such as natural gas, metal ores, and minerals, coal, coke, and briquettes, as well as rural goods such as meat and cereals, Australia, recorded trade surpluses in 2017 and 2018. The most significant trade surpluses are reported with China, Hong Kong, Japan, and New Zealand, while the most significant trade deficits are recorded with the United States, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the AUD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the AUD.
