Australia House Price Index QoQ
A weighted average of price movements for residential properties in Australia's eight capital cities is measured by the House Price Index (HPI), which is comprised of the following eight cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Adelaide, and Perth. Detached residential dwellings on their own plot of land are defined as residential properties, regardless of how old they are.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the AUD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the AUD.
