The seventh-largest economy in the world and the second-largest economy in the Eurozone, France's household consumption within 55% of GDP is the most important sector of the economy, followed by government expenditure (24%) and gross fixed capital formation (22%). Exports of goods and services contribute for 29%of GDP, while imports account for 31%, resulting in a net reduction of 2% in overall GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.
