France Industrial Production MoM
Industrial production in France is a measure of the output of firms that are part of the industrial sector of the economy as a whole. The most important industry is manufacturing, accounting for 86% of overall production. Among the most important segments within Manufacturing are: Food products and beverages (which account for 13% of total production); Machinery and equipment goods (13%), including computer, electronic, and optical products (5%); Basic metals and fabricated metal products (12%); Other manufacturing, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment (12%); Transport equipment (10%); Rubber products and other mineral products that are non-metallic (8%); And chemicals and chemical products (6%). 11% output is accounted for by electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning. 1% of total output is accounted for by water supply, sewerage, and waste management and cleanup, with mining and quarrying accounting for another 1%.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.
