Germany ZEW Economic Sentiment Index
Economic sentiment in Germany is measured by the ZEW Economic Sentiment Index, which measures how optimistic economists are about the economy's prospects for the next six months in Germany. A total of 350 financial and economic professionals are expected to participate in the study. The index is calculated as the difference between the percentage share of analysts who are optimistic about the growth of the economy and the percentage share of analysts who are pessimistic about the growth of the economy, respectively. As a result, the ZEW index gauges confidence on a scale ranging from -100 (all analysts anticipate the economy to decline) to 100 (all analysts expect the economy to improve). A 0 value implies that the situation is neutral.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Sentix Investor Confidence Rises For 7 Straight Months
Eurozone investor confidence improved for the seventh straight month in May to hit the highest level since February 2022 as both current situation and expectations rose in small but steady steps, a closely watched survey showed on Monday. The investor confidence index posted -3.6 in May, the behavioral research institute Sentix reported. The score was forecast to improve moderately to -4.8.

Eurozone Unemployment Rate Steady At 6.5% For Fifth Month
Euro area jobless rate remained unchanged at a record low for the fifth month in a row in March and the unemployment decreased, while a tight labor market could urge the European Central Bank to remain cautious even as policymakers gear up for an interest rate cut in June.
