Poland's consumer market, which has a population of 38 million people, is among the largest in Europe. Poland's primary industries include food and beverage processing, shipbuilding and machinery manufacturing, iron and steel goods, chemicals, glass, and textiles. When it comes to expenditures, household consumption is the most important component of GDP, accounting for 60% of total use, followed by gross fixed capital formation 20%, and government expenditure 18%. Exports of goods and services account for 47% of GDP, while imports account for 46%, resulting in an overall addition of 1% to total GDP.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the PLN while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the PLN.
