UK Nationwide House Price Growth Rises
UK house prices growth accelerated in September amid easing borrowing costs, data from the mortgage lender Nationwide Building Society showed Wednesday. House prices logged an annual growth of 2.2 percent in September, slightly faster than the prior month's 2.1 percent rise. The annual increase was forecast to ease to 1.8 percent.

UK GDP Growth Slows As Estimated
The UK economy grew at a slower pace in the second quarter as increases in services and construction were partially offset by the contraction in production, the Office for National Statistics reported Tuesday. Real gross domestic product expanded by an unrevised 0.3 percent in the second quarter, following a quarterly growth of 0.7 percent in the first quarter.

UK Mortgage Approvals Decline; Consumer Credit Remains Unchanged
UK mortgage approvals declined in August ahead of the autumn budget and consumer credit remained flat, official data showed Monday. The number of mortgage approvals, which is an indicator of future borrowing, fell by 500 to 64,700 in August, the Bank of England reported. This was also below the expected level of 65,000.
