Hooray, this is the first year out of the last 10 years that my wife has not told me to give up trading forex! It is normally around tax time that the boss goes through the bank account statements and where forex related transactions are scrutinised.
It really is about persistence and I feel for all you traders out there that do not have the support of your partner in your forex trading journey - like what I have put up with for so long. Now that profits are being made I am finding my wife more interested in what I do - what about the last 10 years of staying up late gazing at multiple monitors!?
Have thought about quitting so many times, but we just keep on coming back!!

You mean the taxman goes through the bank account statements . They would not do that unless you have been selected for audit by ATO.

What we can see is 5 weeks successful use of a typical GRID strategy...
How many grid strategies could survive 6+ months without a devastating DD...? I am still about to see the first one on MyFxBook...
There were some initially successful grid attempts on MyFxBook over the past year, incl. "Caesar400", but even Caesar had to meet his fate...
But 'Hey, you never know...!' Maybe it is the 'Holy Grail of Grids'...

Hi Benjamin, the 'boss' is the wife! Don't get me started on them though and be careful - they will go for battlers like you and I trying to have a go and get out of the 'rat race'.

Having a supporting wife/family is also a key to trading success. People are naturally looking for security while traders look for the true opposite : risk taking. That's a reason a lot of people including your family can't understand it. I used to have my mother telling me to quit trading every week and I only start now to see a reversal in P/L slope ( after 3 years of trading).
It is important to never give up but it is also important to ensure that you evolve with time and that you have the right tools to self assess yourself.
my 2 cents,

You never want to be wishing or hoping, but always in control. If the market makes you feel up or down, you WILL lose money!
