Australian Dollar Rises Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.

The Australian dollar rose to 6-day highs of 0.6363 against the U.S. dollar and 95.19 against the yen, from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.6335 and 94.83, respectively.

The aussie advanced to a 5-day high of 0.8696 against the Canadian dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 0.8672.

Against the NZ dollar and the euro, the aussie edged up to 1.0858 and 1.6794 from Monday's closing quotes of 1.0836 and 1.6829, respectively.

If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.66 against the greenback, 97.00 against the yen, 0.88 against the loonie, 1.09 against the kiwi and 1.64 against the euro.
