A broker with tight spreads is good. But a regulated STP broker with tight spreads, positive and negative slippage and fast order execution is best.

It's a pain indeed. The bigger issue for EU traders using UK brokers is that in about 6 months the Brexit will become fact. And if you're using a broker located in the UK which has not opted in to open an office in a EU country - then you will be shown the door.

I see the broker charges the commissions separately which led to the other questions. Commission is important, it is better when it is charged separately. Just of curiosity - what is the commission of your broker with which you run your system?

What do you mean by "physical gold"? To trade the metal as a commodity futures contract? Do you think the liquidity will not be that much compared to the XAUUSD pair for example?

The pair is in a bullish trend since the beginning of the year. I am holding a long trade since 5 days and so far it remain quite profitable. Will be watching for next resistance at 1.0790.

Fighting market makers is like trying to beat the casinos. You cannot win in long term.Personally I prefer Intraday trading as it fits my attitude towards the market. I like the dynamics.

It does not seem bizarre, it seems quite crazy to me! This reminds me about the flash crashes when even the stop loss could not save you, but as already said - there were no major volatility when looking at h1 charts. When did this happen to you? What was the size of your order and the leverage?

Well, you cannot simply change your leverage just like that whenever you like, at least with the major brokers...

Completely agree - it would be a serious hit if we won't be able to use custom MT4 EAs and indicators on MT5 in case MT4 is no longer supported.

To me it's quite interesting how many time per day or week we spend on reading new books and articles about trading. I know it is very important at the beginning when we learn to trade but then we can keep reading new materials to stay tuned with latest developments. I try to spend at least 2 hours a week in reading about the industry.
