Why Forex Traders Often Think in Shorter Cycles
일반

I agree with this, but from my experience the problem starts when short cycle thinking becomes random overtrading. The best results for me came when I kept the entry short term, but the bias came from higher timeframe macro and structure
What is the perfect time zone to trade forex? Why is that?

There is no perfect time zone for everyone. The best session is the one that matches your strategy and daily schedule, because consistency with one market rhythm usually beats chasing every active hour

If those numbers are real and repeatable, that is already far above what most traders can achieve over time. My returns on HFM is 2-3% monthly but I keep very low drawdown, less than 5%. The part I would watch most is not the return itself, but whether the drawdown stays controlled during bad months
Becoming a Profitable trader either By Manually or Automated

manual trading usually teaches market logic better before you automate anything. When an automated system is truly solid, it should still make sense after spreads, slippage, and a long forward test, not only in backtests
Becoming a Profitable trader either By Manually or Automated

I agree that profitability comes more from discipline than from the format itself. Manual trading teaches judgment, while automation forces you to define the rules with no excuses. For me, the best path is learning manually first and automating only what already has a clear edge
Why Tools Should Help You Think, Not Just Tell You What to Trade

I like this point because a tool is useful only when it improves judgment, not when it replaces it. This is why I use autochartist tool from HFM without much obsession, keeping focus on own interpretation. Good traders use research, sentiment, and macro context to build a scenario, then they still decide where the risk is worth taking

London and New York overlap usually gives the cleanest movement, but the session alone is not the setup. The better habit is tracking when your own entries perform best and staying out when the market is active but still unclear

Bots can reduce impulsive decisions, but they still need a real edge and proper risk limits. I like a hybrid approach with alerts and clear rules, then you decide when conditions are not normal

I agree emotions can ruin consistency, but automation is not a solution if the strategy has no edge or stops working in new conditions. A good middle way is alerts plus strict risk rules, so you avoid impulse entries but keep control

Diversification is fine, but I would still keep the trading part simple and start with one or two majors like EURUSD or USDJPY for liquidity and tighter costs. Also watch correlation, because many positions can move together when risk sentiment flips

I agree with the idea that profits often come when you stop trading everything and start repeating one system with small risk. “Just build a system” is true, but it only works if you define clear market conditions when you do not trade
Are there any TradingView Forex brokers with 500X leverage?

I see it is available on HFM though I never tried to take so much risk. Max what I tried is 1:100 but I rather prefer to adjust exposure using lot size

Daily targets like 3 percent sound nice but they push people into overtrading in my experience. A monthly goal with low pressure and strict risk per trade worked much better for me
Why does price compression after a sharp rebound often precede volatility expa

After a sharp rebound, compression often means buyers and sellers are rebalancing and liquidity is building inside a tight range. When one side gives up, stops and pending orders can trigger a fast volatility expansion. Are you seeing this on a specific market, like gold?

This resonates with me, the same edge paid very differently once I changed capital structure. I made less per trade but more per year by using external capital with a fair split and strict risk rules instead of only compounding a small personal account
How do you manage risk during high-impact news events in forex trading?

In my experience with hfm the main risk is execution, not direction, so I either sit flat into NFP or cut size to a fraction and wait for spreads to normalize. If I trade it, I only enter after the first reaction sets the direction and my fixed percent risk still holds with a wider stop
What’s the biggest mistake you made early in trading, and how did you fix it?

My biggest mistake was adding to losers because I thought it must come back. After I limited risk to one percent per trade and stopped revenge trading my account finally stabilized

I treat swap as a tiebreaker, not a thesis: take the direction your setup demands, then manage cost by shortening hold time, switching pairs, or sizing for rollover.

What helped me was turning a “strategy” into a checklist-based system: entry, stop placement, position size, management, exit, and a no-trade filter. Once those rules were coded into my sim and followed in a journal, variance dropped and consistency improved
