How do you develop your personal strategy?
in
General
Jul 22 at 13:01
Indeed, that’s a solid approach, systematizing strategy development through testing and automation really helps remove emotional bias. Staying consistent, reviewing results regularly, and being honest about what works and what doesn’t are crucial steps. Combining thorough backtesting with disciplined execution and strong risk management forms the foundation for long-term success in trading. Psychological stability and ongoing learning often become the real edge over time.
Is online commodity trading safe for new traders?

Alongside regulation and trading conditions, you should assess the broker’s reputation among real traders, not just their marketing claims. Look for real account reviews, confirmed withdrawal histories, and transparency regarding order execution (A-book vs B-book). Many brokers claim to be ECN/STP but actually operate as market makers behind the scenes. It’s also smart to test any platform using a small live account before committing serious capital. This way, you can check real execution quality, slippage during volatile hours, and customer support responsiveness without risking mu...

What is your expectation about monthly return at forex trading?
in
General
Jul 05 at 22:37
I think aiming for 5–10% monthly is realistic if you’re managing risk properly and not overleveraging. Chasing 15%+ every month often leads to burnout or blown accounts. The key is consistency over time, not short bursts of high returns. For reference, I’ve been running an automated XAUUSD signal since March 2022. It averages 5.67% monthly, with a total gain of +801.08% and a controlled drawdown of 33.27%. Fully verified, with $152K current balance, and no withdrawals—everything reinvested. Stats are public and tracked. So yes, stable performance is possible if the syste...

My experience with ThinkMarkets has been mixed. While support is attentive and quick to respond, the core technical issues on the trading side remain unresolved. Incorrect price scaling on SB symbols (SpreadBetting account) caused EA malfunctions. Had to stop using ThinkMarkets for that reason.

I’ve been using RoboForex for many years. It’s stable and functional with a solid platform and good features, but pricing is expensive. Overall, it’s passable if you accept higher costs for these benefits.

Gold forecast for today: XAUUSD analysis

May 12 at 09:45
Looks like you’ve got a solid analysis. I would also keep an eye on the overall market sentiment and any potential news events, as they could trigger sharp moves against your levels. For those using automated bots, I’d suggest setting up tighter stop-losses and using trailing stops to protect against volatility. I’m also currently running an automated system for XAUUSD signals, and today’s analysis seems aligned with my current strategy. Let’s see how it plays out!
What to Look Out for When Using a Fast Scalping Strategy?
in
General
May 12 at 09:44
Good points. I’d add: always backtest and forward-test under real market conditions, not just ideal spreads. Also monitor slippage stats closely—especially during volatility spikes. I run an automated bot on XAUUSD and share real-time signals, so I know execution quirks can kill performance fast. Scalping requires precision across the board.
How to become emotionless trader?
in
General
May 12 at 09:19
I agree that automation helps reduce emotional decisions, and it's great for executing a proven edge. But manual trading isn't dead—I'm manually trading XAUUSD with strict rules and consistent results. I also share XAUUSD signals with solid performance. It’s about discipline, not the method.

Stockmarket investing: Market Timing Is a Losing Game
in
General
Apr 20 at 04:51
I read this in the financial newspaper from a couple of days ago:“Seasoned investors are prioritizing capital preservation. They prefer cash, gold, and short-term fixed-income instruments. For them, equity investing becomes attractive only when growth is clearly strong or when stock valuations are extremely low—neither condition is present right now.”This is nothing but fear-driven nonsense. Staying out of the market, waiting for the "perfect" entry (so-called market timing), has consistently been proven to underperform compared to simply staying invested. This isn&...
€10 per day for €89 invested
in
General
Apr 17 at 11:49
That return looks impressive on paper, but I’m skeptical about its sustainability. A €10 daily profit on an €89 account is over 11% per day—no professional strategy can maintain that long-term without major risk.Either the leverage is very high, or the risk exposure is huge. One bad trade could wipe out days or weeks of gains. I’d be cautious and focus more on risk-adjusted performance than short-term returns.
What are the most reliable forex trading indicators?

I mostly trade XAUUSD and rely on a few advanced tools that work well with my style. Besides basic stuff like RSI and MA, I use:– Ichimoku Cloud for trend and structure—gives me a full picture at a glance– ATR to size positions based on volatility– Order Blocks & Supply/Demand Zones for spotting smart money levels– Market Structure Break indicator to catch early shifts in trend– VWAP for intraday fair value zones—especially useful during high-volume moves– Volume Profile to see where liquidity is sitting– TDI as a confirmation tool ...
How do news events impact forex markets?

New Traders
Apr 17 at 11:46
You're spot on. News can cause sharp spikes and fakeouts, especially on high-impact events like NFP or interest rate decisions. I only trade XAUUSD, and news like CPI or FOMC minutes often creates big moves there. Timing, risk control, and knowing when to stay out are key. If you don’t have a plan for news, better to sit it out.

Welcome! You're doing the right thing by starting with a demo and asking questions.I started with demo trading, focused on one pair, and journaled every trade.Stick with technical analysis early—it’s easier to learn and practice.Move to real trading once you're consistent with your strategy and discipline. For resources: “Trading in the Zone” by Mark Douglas, BabyPips.com, and FTMO YouTube channel are solid. To avoid overtrading, have a strict plan, and remind yourself: no signal = no trade. I personally trade XAUUSD and share verified signals—feel free to c...
Why do some traders prefer trading currency pairs like EUR/JPY over EUR/USD?
in
General
Apr 15 at 15:56
Good points. I trade both pairs but approach them differently. EUR/USD is smoother and more predictable. EUR/JPY moves faster and can offer bigger opportunities—if you manage risk well.I personally focus on XAUUSD and share verified signals from my account, with full performance metrics available. If you're into gold trading or want to see how I approach it, feel free to check it out.
Which Forex trading strategies most successful?

General
Apr 15 at 15:54
Good summary. From my experience, the strategy doesn’t matter much if you don’t manage risk and control emotions. Personally, I stick to trend-following with confirmed signals, combined with strict risk management. I don’t chase breakouts unless they’re clean and backed by volume. Scalping and overtrading burned me early on—lesson learned. What really helped me was journaling trades and tracking performance. Now I share my signals publicly, and you can see consistent results in my account. Strategy is important, but discipline and execution matter more.
Common Mistakes That Make New Traders Lose Money
in
New Traders
Feb 08 at 13:59
When I first started trading, I made nearly every mistake on this list. I thought trading was all about making quick money, so I jumped in without a solid plan. I followed random tips from forums, chased the market, and ignored risk management—big mistake. One of my worst trades happened when I refused to use a stop-loss, convinced that the price would "come back." Instead, it kept dropping, and I watched helplessly as my account took a massive hit. That trade alone wiped out weeks of gains.Another issue was overtrading. I felt like I always had to be in a trade, fearing that I ...
