Hi Mohamed,

As the support staff pointed out, the profit or loss value will be reflected immediately in your account in real-time when you close a trade, IC Markets can not manipulate these values.

There may be a number of factors involved that may influence the final profit/loss value in your trade like Swap rates & commissions depending on the lot value you entered. And if you happened to try and close your trade during high volatile times like news, there is a possibility of price moving 40+ pips in a matter of seconds thereby closing in a loss eventually.

If possible, please post a screenshot of your account history for this particular trade from your MT4 so that we could see exactly what happened and help you out.

Regards
Narayan.

Verg bad experience with this broker they stole my money

Salim, Based on the comments in your Profile, I'm guessing you are talking about the Gold sell trade where you have pointed out that your trade was still at -10 loss even though price had come down 40 pips after you entered, I'm not sure how that is even possible! Could you please explain in detail what exactly happened?

Did you try contacting their support? they are usually very helpful. If it is a genuine mistake, I'm sure they will definitely help you out.

low Spread that's true, but if you want to withdrawal, then there are 55 USD (!) fee, very bad and very expensive in my opinion

This is probably because intermediary banks were involved in the processing/transmission of the withdrawal, which also charged fees against it (if you deposited via wire, intermediaries can also hit you there as well when your money hasn't even touched IC Markets' hands!). As much as intermediaries suck when it comes to wires, their involvement is something IC Markets has absolutely zero control over, and is an issue that can come up regardless of the broker you use.

Hi,

There seems to be some miscommunication. IC Markets charges a transfer fee of approximately 20AUD for International Wire Transfers and No additional fees for Domestic transfers and credit card withdrawals. You should contact their support If you were charged 55 USD for withdrawals.

Best Regards

I've been trading with IC Markets for more than a year now! I chose IC markets mainly for their excellent spreads, they have been consistently offering lowest spreads in almost all pairs when compared to other brokers.

I would definitely recommend IC Markets to a fellow trader, not only because of their low spreads, but also because they are leagues ahead in terms of personal customer service and support, which is a real rarity these days especially in the Forex industry.

Like most of you all, I also joined under a IB, reducing my commission to just 5.5$ per round lot.

Best broker I've used and am using, they do still have a bit of slippage but both positive and negative, not really sure how it compares as it's the first ecn I've used. Best spreads for Australia and up there with the best in the world for retail, often I have zero spread on EURUSD but I don't like trading this pair. I'm Australian so looked locally first, makes me feel a bit more secure with our regulations.
They don't have the best support services but in saying that, I like that I don't get unwanted emails and phone calls, I'm left alone to trade how ever I want, no restrictions on how I trade.
I have attended a few of the webinars that they have for clients and found those to be very informative without the big sales pitch at the end, an example would be the differences in liquidity around news times that affect spreads, cause slippage and the speed of the market move, stuff you wont find in a place like forex factory.
NOTE - I signed up with an IB , am paying $5.50 a round turn instead of the quoted $7.00

After having been with IC Markets for about a year now, I can definitely say with confidence they're the best retail space broker I've yet tried; I highly recommend them. The relative quality of their trade environment is precisely why I became an IB for this broker!

Mediocre broker - better than some I have tried though. Customer service sometimes lacking, though easily reached with phone in Australia.

Regulated in Australia, so pretty safe (I guess).

Main gripe: 200 maximum orders open at any time! So much for HFT systems that require lots of trades at once!

Very good broker at last. Great spreads, fast execution, positive slippage, fast wire deposits, great customer service.

Only setback lacks a web interface for MT4 accounts. Commission is a little high but at least this broker doesn't stack the deck against you & deserves to be paid for being transparent

This is a broker that doesn't false advertise. IC Markets is the best Forex retail broker I have worked with in 28 years of trading.

Truly institutional spreads for retail FX. I hope they will raise their minimums as $200 for an account could me a problem to macro manage

I rate this broker 8 out of 10 & hope they will have a web interface soon for the MT4 accounts

I opened account in IC Markets April 2012.
1. Low spreads
2. Very high commission.
FXOpen NZ has better spread and lower commission
3.There are few deposit/withdrawal options.
4.There is Moneybookers to deposit funds, and there is not Moneybookers to withdrawal funds. It's really stupid.
