Way to the riches with a micro account and -25% DD!
No serious investors would consider any strategy with larger than -10% DD. Noobs and amatuers may not start crying and cursing until -20% DD... But probably they will when DD is not just a statistical number but real capital loss.

FX MasterGuru, man , u see ur accounts? , all of urs of ur account (micro account surely because ur money its not shown ), all have bigger DD than profit, and the only with more profit than DD is ur "morningstar" with +63 and 33 DD. Then why u report something that u cant do ?

But you will never get a system as so if not you reduce the risk at which in the next decade you will not make 100% return trading. However you can get some high risk traders that uses no stop loss , they can have low DD but can crash your capital in few minutes on a bad day . Also some inactive traders can have low draw down but if you actively trade there is no way you can make DD less than 20% and make living trading forex .

Really? may be for few months. Can you do that 4% per month forever? thats 48% per year. if you can, all central banks will be at your door step. Its not that easy my friend. i do agree doing it for few months might be easy. But doing it consistently and for long will be tough.

4% each month is 60.10% per year because of compounded interest.

It depend of the situation. I dont worry if my real account has a 44% DD , why? Reason 1: when i have this DD is becasue i didnt risking my initial deposit, and i decide to increase the risk because i wanna win money. My max DD of the initial deposit is like 15%. Reason 2: im a automatic trader and im cleanin my systems to make more profitable ( i quit a lot of ea's that have a bad risk reward ratio) , i dont think i can have a 44% DD now

@vijayinvites , 4% is very good and sounds reachable, why not? Also, your real account surpass your expectation... so i don't see worries with 4%. Obviously, If your account is bigger small percentage worth a lot.

i dont have to win all months. all i have to do is keep profit YoY. 48% a year is small target for large and private hedge fund like quantum fund. they made approx > 100% o Y, because they and we, use a tool called LEVERAGE.

IMO, dont compound the size of our trading. if we start with $ 10.000 and using 0,1 lot, keep it that way even we already gain another $ 10 k. withdraw that profits and enjoy it. its not a race, is it?

thats not true. Large hedge funds wont use leverage like us. I remember one of the professional trader for banks said, they max use a leverage of 1:1 or 1:2, they trade in billions, if they put one order it will move a currency like EURUSD around 50-60 pips. They dont trade using any platform for such a big trades, instead they call the bank and decide on what they need to pay. Still they lose around 10-15 pips for such a big order. This information i am just remembering what he said. so basically leverage is used properly by retail trader like us not big banks or hedge funds.
And if they make 2-3% per month they will be happy.

yep big banks don't use leverage and if they make 0.5% they are happy already, try to make 0.5%/month consistently without leverage and you maybe have a short a becoming a good trader.
