In fact, there are quite a few features. The most important thing is that the trader will not receive losses on a demo account.

When I used a demo account, it was just an option for me to gain experience. I think this is one of the key features.

Demo teaches you the basics. Real account teaches you about emotions as well.

good point, good one @ElliotEll
I don't see much difference though It doesn't make any difference to me, I play with real money like demo

From my trading experience, the demo account is a risk-free environment with no real capital or commission costs involved in it.
whereas the real account is about taking risks and trading with a proper strategy for profits.

The most noticeable feature is that the demo account allows you to learn. At least when I started working with a broker, I used a demo account.

The major difference between real and demo accounts is that demo accounts are good for testing out strategies without the fear of losing real money.

A demo account is a practice account where traders test out trading strategies and build trading skills. A demo account is a risk-free account because traders trade with virtual money. Such accounts are generally free.
A live account is the opposite of a demo account. Here, traders trade with their own money and participate in the moving market. There are different types of real accounts. For beginners, a micro account is the best to get started.

In my experience, the demo account is mostly used for developing strategies and skills by beginner or newbie traders without any risk or real capital involved.
The real account has real risks and money involved in it. Traders use the knowledge and skills learned from demo trading and apply them to real trading to make profits.

A real account and a demo account are quite similar to each other in functioning but one major difference is in terms of money. In a demo account, you trade with virtual money but in a real account, your own money is involved. Demo accounts are the best way of practising and backtesting the strategies by the trader.

Demo accounts are practice accounts. You get to trade in the replica of the live trading account at zero risk. Live accounts, however, are risky since you trade with money from your pockets. Another difference is trading psychology. You’re emotionally involved when you trade in live accounts.

I think the difference is mostly psychological. It's easier to make riskier moves on demo because there is nothing on the line. A lot of people struggle when they go live because that's when fear and anxiety come in and affect profits.

A beginner trader is highly recommended to open a demo account before trading from a real account. The difference between the two is that -
In a demo account, the trader gets access to a simulation of the real forex market where he can experiment with his strategies without risking the loss of real money, because in a demo account no real money is involved.
In a real account that the trader opens through a broker, real money is involved. The trader’s bank account is connected with the live trading account and he has to make strategies carefully and wisefully so that he risks the minimal loss of money.

Demo is only for practice and we can not imagine to trade with real money.

From my trading experience, I can say that demo trading is risk free and no real capital or risk is involved. It is used by beginners and experienced traders to develop new strategies.
Real trading can be risky with higher or lower money losses depending on the trader's forex trading skill and strategy.

Totally unique. Real money is used in the demo, while virtual money is used in the demo. In demo, we have nothing to lose, but in real, we have real money and the risk of losing some or all of it.

A Demo account and a real account are almost similar except for the type of money used. Demo does not involve any real money, and therefore, people can trade without fearing any loss. While in a real account, real money is involved which activates the emotions like fear, panic, and anxiety.
Demo accounts are only for educational purposes and do not guarantee success in trading.
Traders need to trade live to develop the right trading psychology.

The main difference is slippage. With demo you get instantly filled on entry and exit but with real live account there will be slippage. This is usually small but can make a big difference in overall results

A demo trading account is just a platform to practise and experience trading in a simulative environment. There is no money involved and that makes a major difference. You don’t need to worry about losses in a demo account and your profits will never materialise. Trading on a real account comes with a lot of responsibility and power. You can make profits with a good strategy but can also encounter financial losses. You need to cope up with the risk by setting stop losses and risk/reward ratio. Practise well on a demo account and trade with caution in your real account.
