The vendor disconnected his account to myfxbook for more than 1 day during this eurgbp drawdown to hide the fact that his new maximum dd was going to far exceed the calculated 28% that is currently displayed. Very deceptive since I would guess that the account was nearly wiped out and he was very lucky that it corrected when it did otherwise he would have been in need of a new account on his website. It really is only a matter of time before it is margin called with the risk level he is using in an attempt to display such huge gains.

not updating myfxbook did not impacts the DD calculation.
but the myfxbook DD is very very bad.

I strongly recommend to use fxblue for this. (old mt4i)
this site provides an hourly DD which is closer to the reality.

There is no way that the dd was under 28% during the recent move. The eurgbp trades moved 40 pips further against him on a large basket. When you check the account it is normally showing a very recent update but during this whole recent dd it was showing "1 day" or similar.
Be afraid, very afraid?

like I said... myfxbook do a really bad job for the DD side...
check the sum of the DD for the 15 trades in the batch, it's more than 245$
myfxbook calculate a DD of 85$, a big difference :)

Well I had just about the same trades as the master acct with a risk of 10% of the account. I never hit the sl and stayed under the 10% too...

I don´t think he has exceed to much 30% drawdown...in forex peace army account the drawdown was 30% but you´re right that he has been waiting for todays market reaction...that´s obvious. Is his decision wether or not he cuts the trades when there´s a 30% drawdown. In this case things have gone right but as you say is a matter of time that the account crashes...but I suppose that it´s normal looking for those returns...we can´t forget that issue...for example I have only experimented during this a maximal drawdown of 5%...so is a personal choice

Hi Alex
I don't understand why the BM did not close the EURGBP trades when they where still in profit? So far I have been having good results with BM. Just questioning if there is a problem, as if I understand correctly, the EA does not close the trade your server does? I am running on a VPS server and all other transactions are okay.

Please Advise

Yes I agree...but maybe the drawdown hasn´t been too much higher than 30% drawdown..but obviouslu higher than 28%...that´s for sure

if it doesnt, try re-attaching the EA to the chart and it should be ok.

Alex, why did your account did not got to the 30% rule? All my sells from yesterday where closed with a loss because of the 30% rule. Do you have a higher rule?

Hi Atsiekratsie...

He doesn´t have the risk parameter set to 30%, maybe 50-60% or higher...who knows??. It´s obvious...for the vendor is better not to assume that lose (the balance curve is much prettier this way than if he assumes a 30% lose) but he can blow the account...so he´s really taking higher risks...If you appreciate your money use your own criteria...

Good luck

============ IBFX EMAIL CONTENT

Dear Client,

IBFX, Inc. (IBFX) has made a business decision to no longer to service individual MT4 online platform accounts and has recently agreed to transfer your current IBFX “MT4” account to Forex Capital Markets, LLC (FXCM), a Registered Foreign Exchange Dealer (RFED) with the National Futures Association (NFA ID 0308179). As a result, IBFX and FXCM have made arrangements to transfer your account to FXCM on September 19, 2014.

If you have no objection to the transfer of your account to FXCM, then no action is required. Effective September 19, 2014 at approximately 5:00 pm ET, IBFX will transfer your account, client money balance, customer data and non-transactional history to FXCM. Following such transfer, your account and positions will be reopened with FXCM, and FXCM will be the counterparty to your positions and service provider to your account(s). You will be bound by the FXCM Customer Agreement, which amends and replaces the current customer agreement you have in place with us.

Please note that any net open positions you have in your account below 1,000 units will be liquidated via a market order shortly before the transfer. Any net open positions you have in your account in any increment that is not 1,000 unit increments will be partially liquidated so that after such liquidation your position will be in increments of 1,000 units. For example, if your net open position in the EUR/USD was 12,500 before the time of the transfer, IBFX will liquidate 500.

In order to facilitate the transfer of your account, trading will be suspended in your account at 3:00 pm ET on Friday, September 19, 2014. Then the open positions in your account(s) will be transferred. The transfer itself will not affect the equity of your account. Please note that pending orders will not be reinstated after the transfer. You must reinstate any pending orders after the transfer.

You have the right to opt out of the transfer but because IBFX has made a business decision to no longer to service individual MT4 online platform accounts, if you do opt out, then on September 19, 2014 all open positions in your account will be liquidated via market orders and, once that has been completed, appropriate steps will be taken to close your account. You also have the option to direct IBFX to liquidate your positions prior to the transfer.

If you choose to opt out of the transfer of your account or want to direct IBFX to liquidate your positions, you must notify us of that decision by 5:00 pm ET, Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Failure to opt out by this date will result in your account being transferred on September 19, 2014. Should you choose to opt out, liquidate your positions or if you have any questions about this notice please contact Tom Hammergren, Vice President of Customer Service or our client services team at 866-468-3739, or if you are calling from outside of the United States at 1-801-930-6800. You may also contact the Firm by email or chat at www.ibfx.com/Contact

Question: I am taking on a 5% risk per chart. My acct is 5900 and my lot set is .02 with risk set to 5. I played with it before with 10% but couldn't stomach losing yhat much per trade. When doing the 10% risk, I got the dynamic lots but since changing to lower risk I only get .01 lots opening. At what point will tge ea start trading with a higher lot size and dynamic lots?
