What is the setting of mdp?
What is the GMT time zone of your broker? And which broker?

just got two orders, both were losing, myfxbook says one was losing one winning overall profit. I had orders num set to 4 to see if it works, now put it down to 0, hopefully it will give better trades. Anyone know what are the settings on reference account?

I start my live account for a week, compare with my opening time and position with the demo records. I was supprise that my sell position is alway lower than the demo while the buy positin is higher, both side is some time 4 pips. How can I get profit from scalping?
My server is in USA, latency below 3ms to my broker server.
I downloaded the records in csv format. If add the defference of 1-4pips(randomly), I will bandrupt in 2 weeks.
So, I am thinking how to refund.

Also, one word more, don't believe scalping ea. This is not tool for normal trader, banker or broker can get profit with it.
Try other straegy such as trend following, breakout, or grid.

Grid is a fastest way to get broke. You need to have ultra low spread and rebates. Then check that you don't have too aggressive configuration. Use default.

William is not answering my emails now, and I have asked him for his live Think Forex live statement or log in details over 1 week ago, and no response, so this is not very good.

 He has said in a previous email that his live Think Forex account trades matched the demo here, but everyone has been asking him for live statements for 3 months now, and nothing yet, so that smells like a rat to me. We will soon see, but I am not going to open new account, get VPS and lose money if I cant get any proof or support for that matter.

Has anyone try the 'pepperstone'? In the mdp web page they recommend this broker. I install their mt4 demo and make the ex-test. and the results are too high. So how can be it's usable to mdp?

A good thing with MDP, you can start with a small amount. One of the other mdp memebrs started with $15. Never push this bot past 1.5 % and watch it win more than it losses. I have had lots of trades and theres always more winners at the end of the week and your in profit. Some days you might loose 3 days in a row, but thats rare. If you dont make money in one week average, then your brokers speed is to slow or your not using a vps. A VPS is a big difference. Its night and day on making profits. I was loosing on my highspeed home pc and now im winning on a vps. See my forward live account. I just set up a 2nd small acount for my wife and I migh post investor access for that one also. On my acount, I added $100 cash yesterday, so you should see that boost in deposits also. Small lose this am of about $20, but there were 19 trades on my IBFX account. MDP think page had another $1000 profit! Id love to have 2k and beable to run at the higher level of trader speed and make those faster trades and profits. Aloha..

Pattern? Only spikes! Its hit and miss, but greater winns than losses if you use a fast broker and faster vps.

Profeeor53, first of all I dont have any details on you so called live account sir, secondly the whole purpose of buying any EA is to see if it can duplicate the demo results that is being run in this case with Mt Fx book/forex peace army, and to collaborate with the vendor/author of the EA to ask questions.

 So when the author stops answering emails, and not giving us as a group proof of his live account with Think Forex, then I smell a rat. Your results with IBFX will not be anywhere close to his T.F. demo, that I can guarantee because ibfx does not have the lowest spreads, and you are have to deal with FIFO BS.

BTW, I am not getting the same results on my Think Forex demo as he is getting, so thats also a concern for me. I was also not able to get anywhere near the same results for the back testing as he did.

Simple if you want to get the same result. then go and have ECN account that starts with 2500USD/ and apply for the broker VPS that they will give you for free when u deposit 2500$.

then you will get the same result i bet. if the vendor is not giving any response might he will be busy, he is also a human he might have some other works as well. it might get delay but that doesnt mean he is not responding.
Professor53 and i am getting good result we dont care why we get a bit diff result but at the end we got some good result and we know if we go to ECN account then we can have the same.


lots of ppl are earning some good funds with mdp. remember lower the spread lower the order time execution the better result you get

Does anyone know of (or have experience with) whether or not MDP works with FXOpen's ECN account. As far as i am aware, there should be nothing hindering it from doing so. It meets the low spread and fast execution requirements. Plus there are no restrictions form placing pending orders close to the bid/ask price.

I have read in a couple places where people had some trouble with the stop orders getting rejected but they didn't say if the account was ECN or not. I know this EA would not work on their non ECN accounts because of the order closing in less than one bar and limitations on pending order placements.

Anyway....hopefully someone will know.

actually the fact is no one is using any ECN account. but the truth is ECN account for any broker will suite MDP. but the prob is ECN account need to high deposit and almost every one is using it on less deposit account. so thats why every one is complaining that MDP is not working for them.
any how v 1.1.6 is less broker sensitive
we just have to chose low spread broker with good vps. so one can get less latency to operate orders.
Im willing to start it on ECN account.

My demo test was finished with iamfx. The orders are nearly same as here. Next week i'll fund and start a little real account in iamfx. Their spreads usually 1,5 and i make some ex tests and everything seems good.

Also i opened a fxopen ecn demo. But the extest results are very high. (3 times slover than iamfx)

I also want to try the MDP on fxopens ecn.

What were the results of your timing tests?

Normally, I look at demo account tests with some validity. With MDP, demo accounts have zero validity except to say that in a perfect environment it succeeds.

The biggest challenges to MDP are slippage and execution speed. In a demo account, slippage doesn't happen. So, you always get perfect order fills. In the real world, you will only sometimes get the price you send the order for. It will almost always be slipped by at least a few tenths of a pip. This would be no big deal if your target is 20 pips, or 50pips, or greater. When you are trying for 1 pip, or 4 pips...then slippage becomes a huge deal.

You could get slipped 5-10 pips on a 20 pip target and still easliy come out ahead without re-adjusting you target. If that happens with MDP....instant loser. Since it trades in highly volatile market movements...the chance of that happening increases tremendously. So, I understand why everyone is making such a massively huge deal about MDP and demo accounts being unreliable.

That said....we all know that the concept is very possible. The big hedge funds use this concept with their direct-to-market mainframes. MDP is essentially trying to use the same concept but make it available to retail traders. The only problem is you speed. How fast can your connection to your broker operate??? If you can't operate fast enough, you can't win.
