Thanks Fughe, I am a US resident, so will look into IBFX

The slippage is an MDP killer. You can have an awesome broker that has a strict non-interference policy that they stick to, and due to there being no available liquidity, you can get slipped really bad. There is nothing that can be done about it except move to a broker that has a huge client base.

for slippage issue you have nothing to do. either MDP will keep tarding until it will find out that trades are not profitable due to slippage or you should find another broker

Thanks a lot Walker & Fughe. Atleast, now I know there is nothing I can do about slippage. Do you have any broker recommendations? The only 2 I have tried are FXDD where the MDPIPS did not work effectively even in the demo account as the spread was too high and now I am on HOT FOREX where apparently there are slippage issues...

Fırst you should read the thread and understand what for. MDP is currently different topic. Last night I saw a message about an error on MDP and wanted to help so got in to this thread.

- I am currently working on ARB system.
- I am currently testing MDP on pepperstone

those 2 topics are comlpletly different.

I need different brokers Live order execution speed for my ARB system tests. I know that MDP is giving those values on chart. So I asked for help from Nick to get that data from him due he is running MDP on HOTFOREX Live account.

so as you can see those are completly different topics 😉

BTW there is only one common point for both topic they both chasing after ~MAX 10pip profit.

yes you are right. but this was a post about the setup periods of MDP and my current project. I can say that MDP can make good profit with correct setup and correct broker combination. so last week I decided to work on it.

thank you
good luck to you too.

this may help for MDP users.

open 5 min chart and keep it open behind the main chart.

right click and refresh both charts when you available. but DO NOT do this when trades are open.

Arbitrage is taking advantage of the difference between a slow price feed and faster price feed. MDP is NOT arbitrage.

when chart has gap or missing bars channels that MDP using for open trades are broken. those gaps can be happen due the hıstory issues from the broker or connectıon ıssues. refreshıng them reloading the chart history. and repairing the broken channels. this will increase order execution frequency.

- guys who has said that MDP is ARBITRAGE.
- ARBITRAGE ıs not the prıce dıfference between fast and slow feeds.

Arbitrage is 'buy cheap and sell expensive'. price feed difference is anothor topic but it is named as Arbitrage.

Ok, the technical definition of arbitrage form wiki is 'In economics and finance, arbitrage (IPA: /ˈɑrbɨtrɑːʒ/) is the practice of taking advantage of a price difference between two or more markets: striking a combination of matching deals that capitalize upon the imbalance, the profit being the difference between the market prices.' Generally speaking....arbitrage will happen when you find two brokers....one with a SLOWER price feed and the other with a FASTER price feed. This is exactly what is being hunted for by logging all these broker speeds from MDP.
Make losses, but always come out a winner at the end.
