a DD till 50-60 % is ok with a grid or martingale, but not 85% because with a leverage 1:500 trades will be closed.

yesterday my account blew up. send email, because i was worried. no response,..... all settings were OK. lotscaling,.internet connection ok,. just a leverage of 1:100,... and all my money is gone. thx

If you want to reduce your DD, work out the Lot Scaling according to Ortwin's formula, then reduce it. For example, I use 40% of the Master Account risk, so my maximum end-of-day DD was 20% instead of the 50% of the Master Account. Obviously my monthly profit is only 40% of the Master Account, but at least I sleep well and 40% of Master account profit is still a very good return compared with anything else I know.

a friend of mine, Toon,. also blew up his royal queens money collector,.. also emaild ortwin,. also got no answer,. all his settings were ok as well. he just payed yesterday his monthly 20 dollars,....... very sad,. no stop loss,. i think its better to go to the casino and putt your money on black or red . any EA advice ortwin ? black or red ?

Another thing to consider on this trade copier being used is to use the MAXDRAWDOWNPERCENT for instance which prevents the copier from opening more trades after exceeding this threshold. My friend has an account on this signal and asked me to help him configure this EA, i set his maxdrawdown @50% and his lotscaling at .9 and excluded the roboFX bonus given as it's not money. His account maxed out at a arount 6o% but it did not continue to open more trades until blowing up as some I am sure did, he is using using 200:1 account. Now the counterside is that because the last martingale recover trades that this signal used to create profit were not opened since the drawdown went so high so when the overall trades were close about 50% of the last month's profit were lost.. but hey that's Ok, as the account is still intact and the month is still up a 22% profit. I think INvestorFX2 has maybe a better setting/approach for most. I am now adjusting my friend's EA set file to use .7 lotscaling and I will keep the 50% maxdrawdownpercent also.
I am sure that anyone who was using BONUS in their lotscaling calculations were probably wiped out with the high drawdown. Bonus is for suckers IMHO but I mean no insult, almost no average users ever consider why the brokers give them free margin...and this is another realworld example of how traders get tripped up, notice I did not say ripped off. It's every traders decision what they allow or do with their own money.

We , a couple of friends asked Ortwin before we started, if he recommand to take the maximum bonus.
And asked what the risk is . He said that the maximum bonus is no problem, but that it only takes more time till you can withdraw your money . So , on his advice we took the bonus . Set lotscaling like it should be, i had 1460€ balance and lotscaling 0.7 , leverage 1:100
My friend had 1050€ balance and lotscaling 0.5 , leverage 1:100
Other friend had 1600€ balance , lotscaling 0.8 , leverage 1:100
All three of us accounts we blew up.
As is read now here , it is risky to take a bonus at the broker, but why... Why ... Didnt ortwin say that ?
Like i said, we personaly asked his advice ( Yes we are noobs, thats why we asked)
But only thing was , no problem.. Just your money is bound longer.

I got burned once and I studied carefully how they work. The bonus can be useful IF:
1. you do not count it as equity
2. (valid for Roboforex, at least) you use it at your vantage. When you fund your account do not use all your money at once, but make several payments. Every payment creates a bonus (clearly each of them smaller than if you put all your money in the account). If you have a big bonus at the beginning you will never be able to transform it into real money even with an EA like Queen that makes 100s of trades per day, but if you have several small bonuses, you can realize the first one after few months, the second after more months (but not years!) and so on.
My 2 cent.

I am sorry to read this. But the actual DD was only 45% and not 80%

Click on DRAWDOWN tab above the chart. Move your mouse on the highest red bar. Than you will see 45,97%
When only 45% DD wiped out your account, you probably run into the bonus trap.
The Broker cancels the bonus and your account runs immediatly out of money and your trades are stopped out.
We always warn about to take a bonus. When you take it, do not calculate it as your initial balance.
