Euro Area Markit Services PMI
Based on data gathered from a representative panel of around 2,000 private service sector enterprises in the Eurozone to calculate the Eurozone Services PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index). Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Republic of Ireland all have national services data available. Sales, employment, inventories, and pricing are some of the variables tracked by the index. A rating of greater than 50 suggests that the services sector is generally increasing, while a reading of less than 50 indicates that it is generally contracting.

Eurozone Inflation Rises Slightly To 2.1%
Eurozone inflation rose marginally in August but the rate remained near to the European Central Bank's 2 percent target, official data revealed on Tuesday. The harmonized index of consumer prices rose 2.1 percent year-on-year in August, slightly faster than the 2.0 percent increase in July, flash data from Eurostat showed.
