The most important sector of Ghana's economy is the Services sector, accounting for 52% of the country's gross domestic product. The Services are divided into sub-sectors, with the most important being transportation and storage (10%), information and communication (9.8%), trade, repair of vehicles and household goods (7%), financial and insurance activities, education, and public administration, defense, and social security all ranking high on the list of priorities (4% each). Additionally, the industry contributes 26% of GDP, with mining and quarrying accounting for 10%, construction accounting for 8%, and manufacturing accounting for the remaining 7%. Agriculture accounts for 22% of GDP, with crops accounting for the majority of it (17%). When it comes to expenditures, household consumption is the most important component of the GDP, accounting for 81% of total use. It is followed by gross fixed capital formation (11% of total use), government expenditure (10%), and changes in stocks (2%). Exports of goods and services account for 48% of GDP, while imports account for 52%, resulting in a net loss of 4% of total GDP.
