Moldova Balance of Trade
The trade deficit of Moldova is estimated at 40% of GDP as remittances fuel imports of household goods. Exports from Moldova include primarily textiles, fresh vegetables and fruits, alcoholic beverages, and electrical gear. Chemicals, natural gas, yarn, pharmaceutical items, and machinery are Moldova's primary imports. Moldova's most important trading partners are Russia, Ukrainian, Romania, Italy, Germany, Turkey, and Belarus.
