The consumer price index in Poland is dominated by the following categories: Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (which account for 25% of the total weight), Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels (19%), Transport (10%), Recreation and Culture (6%), Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (6%), Restaurants and Hotels (6%), Furnishings, Household Equipment, Routine Household Maintenance (6%). The remaining 15 percent of the overall weight is divided across the categories of Health, Clothing and Footwear, Communication, and Education.
Hodnoty vyššie, ako sa očakáva, by sa mali považovať za pozitívne (býčie) pre PLN a pod očakávané hodnoty by sa mali považovať za negatívne (medvedie) pre PLN.
