City Holding Q3 Earnings Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - City Holding Co. (CHCO), a $6.1 billion bank holding company, announced Tuesday that third-quarter net income available to common shareholders increased to $29.84 million or $1.98 per share from $27.37 million or $1.83 per share in the prior-year quarter.

On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.88 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter increased to $55.61 million from $48.78 million last year, and total non-interest income was $17.41 million, down from $18.24 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $72.77 million for the quarter.
