Man! I hate when big moves happen on Asia it messes up my system! I guess today will be a wait a see day. Boring but better than jump on some gamble and losing money.

Hey Zero I did what you explained but no changes here on my FXpro still capped at April 2011. I tryed to download data directly from meta quotes before but ended up with some weird gaps all over.Tigpips you are right the data on MT5 is inconsistent some parts it seems ok others don't look good at all.

Thanks for the "tip" Zero but did you ever go to MQ4 page? Did you ever notice the literally "thousands" of EAs , indicators etc over there?If somebody wants to sell something on ebay ( and I believe they do) they don't need my silly code 😁When i was talking about historical data I was referring to the fact that MT5 has 1 minute data back to 1973. The data starts to get good by June 1989 but still! This is a technical annalist's paradise.I use FXpro for charting and their 1 min data goes back only to April 2011.

Yep working on a 6 monitor set upNope! I trade the Euro/Dollar exclusively. As a technical trader I don't care about news, so no news feed on my screens. I have a mental note about big news release just so I don't trade 20 minutes before and after it. The answer for this one is on past posts. Go read it lazy boy! LOL Hope you don't mind my sense of humor 😁

It seems that MT5 has better historical data and this simulator is very good so it would be nice to have it. Well sooner or later somebody will do it.

LOL! No problems here Chikot I'm just trying to be nice to him, I still have to work on my psychological side when trading but my self image is strong.Well it is tough to keep the concentration with my kids and wife stopping by my desk all the time. family comes first so the family/work/forex management is tough. I'm stuck until mid August because I'm transforming my garage in a big office where I will be able to trade and keep my focus so till than family/work/forex/remodeling. Tough tough !

Anybody with 'cojones" enough to port this simulator to MT5. I am able to change some code and get things done on MT4 but this thing here is beyond my expertise.

Took 3 small losses trying to go long at 1.4335 area. It is a challenge to trade with my family busy around me so i wasn't paying attention when price took of from 4323.I'm ending the day with +19 pips slightly below my 20 pip goal. Well tomorrow is another day.

Obama is clearly using the budget to his own political benefit, and so are the republicans. It will be very interesting to see what will happens to the E/U as the politicians keep suspense in the air. Overall i believe that America already is naked in public, while Europe is trying to cover herself in rags. I think we are half way through our crises while the PIIGS are still in denial ( or on cover up mode) so we should emerge ahead of the Eurozone.

Out with +23 pips, 38 so far in 2 trades. Now that my 20 minimum is acheaved i switch to picky mode and i'm just trading the best set ups till 12PM.

From +40 to +15 now price seems to be going down re test the 1.4362 area. Any rejection there and I may be out for around 20 pips, otherwise it could go down to the 4333 and lower.

Very good morning so far my first trade on the triple test of 1.4385 was good for 15 pips. I'm still on a short from 1.4395. I almost bailed out on this one because as soon as I opened the position price went against me, my SL are around 15 to 20 pips so being minus 12 right the way is borderline for me. Anyways I stayed on the trade and now I'm +40. My minimum goal for the day is 20 pips i'm well above it and considering taking profit if price does not go down quick.

Ok 37 minutes after 5 AM here in Florida and I'm starting my trading day. I'm gonna try to keep my discipline and strategy, thats my goal.I'm doing pretty ok for the last 4 or 6 months ( pip wise) so the fact that my journal starts officially today is just symbolic. what I am going to try from now on is to increase my pip to money ratio. My fist goal is to get around 500 $ per week in a consistent base. I may not be much for some here but If I can maintain a solid 500 bucks for the next 6 or 8 weeks than I can bump it for 1000/week. than 2000 per week which would bring me to ful...

Amy Winehouse is dead. I guess people got shocked but not surprised by the news.So what does it have to do with trading? Will the pound tank Monday because of this news?Don't think so! If i could go back to my twenties I would go work for institution till 28 or 30. During this period I would gather all the knowledge I could and save all the money I could. Than i would "retire" meaning trading Forex 4 or 5 hours per day and spending the rest of my time doing what I like.
