I recommend you reduce the CAD crosses from 4 to 2 pairs. You have 5 AUD crosses, it´s too much and if AUD moves to fast you will have a big DD and you may crash. You have 7 USD crosses and it´s dangerous.If you need to keep more than 7 total pairs you might reduce the Inilot to 0.05. It´s possible to set the margin stop to 20 to avoid crash. The next version improvements will help us to reduce risk.

This demo account will trade only 4 pairs this month because I've turned OFF Amortization. You are right - if you use amortization you need more pairs (no correlated). Remember it is a testing account...

This is a very simplified analysis. The no correlation is important because if you set your margin stop-out to 30 and you have 4 or 5 pairs crossed with EUR (example) you will probably loose 65% your account or more if EUR drops or falls too much too fast. Additionally, no correlation is VERY important(means essential) if you are using Amortization. Your account will never be destroyed as you say because you can set the maximum loss.

The Amortization starts when 4 orders were opened. I can introduce and option to manually define the number of orders the algorithm starts working.

You can make a nice comfortable weekly profit or destroy your account. It depends on the settings you use. Allways reduce rsk and use the protections on real money.

@hokie the last week was really bad for the system. BMEA continuous to open trend even when the trend changes. This characteristic we can't change so we use protections coded in BANANA. The Amortization closes some opened trades and reduces exposure. I hardly recommend to let it ON. Why this demo account was not affected? We are trading 4 pairs in this account this month: EURUSD, EURGBP, GBPCHF, USDCHF. Pairs with low correlation between them. And yes, this account can have manual interventions but last week it was not needed.

Exposure Leverage Limit is a protection that tries to close the entire basket if the total lots is over certain level. For example, if your IniLot is 0.1 when the sum of total lots of orders of a certain pair reaches 20 times the IniLot (if your parameter is set to this value) Banana tries to close at Breakeven. This algorithm is still in being developed and in the actual version we have 2 LEVELS of protection - close at BE and 8% loss if the exposure limit is doubled.

When you have a too strong trend it's possible to have a strong retrace. This parameter limits the possibility of open trades on unusual strong trends. 40 is a nice parameter for all cases.

Good observations. The objective of the Amortization algorithm is to constantly reduce the exposure. The tests in my other accounts are performing exactly like yours. I like to mention one important difference in the final result between "close basket if reverse" and "amortization". "Amortization" will never decrease your balance (in a weekly basis ) but slowly eats some profit to minimize risk. "Close basket if reverse" lets your account to profit all day but can eat much of them if day trend changes.So "Amortization" is a less volatile protec...

How?In this picture we can see 2 protections working very well on currency pair USDGDF.The first BLUE arrow shows a trade opened by Banana because the FX pair were in an upward movement. (and the trend is our friend!)But market changes and starts to go down....The YELLOW arrows shows Banana closing the following BUY orders opened by BMEA. The Lots Amortization Algorithm is working here and closing loss trades without losing money 😲😲😲 6 BUY orders were closed. The market continues the down ...
