It is true that demo trading cannot help you in earning any real money but that is not the purpose of it. It is meant for learning real trading experience which will help you immensely in making real money when you go live.

Demo account trading is not a race. Take as much time as you need and carefully learn how to trade. Don't compare yourself with others, especially if they take less time than you. This is the lerning phase. The longer you spend here the clearer will be your basics. however, let me tell you that for advanced learning there is nothing better than live trading. So take you time on demo and when you have gained enough confidence and skills open live acc, preferably a micro a/c and start trading there.

Rightly said. It is very important to factor in the effect of real emotions on our trading styles and results. Demo trading is a beneficial tool for testing strategies for both newbies and veterans but only if you trade like you are trading live. Not easy, but certainly very much essential. Otherwise it won't be of much use.

Yep! There's all this noise you'll hear about forex being profitable. It makes everyone believe that anyone can succeed here no matter what. But the hard truth is that only a very small percentage of people can be profitable here, those with the right combination of knowledge, skills, experience, dedication, discipline, patience, hard work and sharp trading instincts!

If you are venturing into forex then there is no chance that you can avoid risk at all. Prices can fluctuate very much during he trading session. So you need to keep you eyes and mind open at all times. However you can guard yourself against the risk element by employing good trading strategies and risk management plan. Manage your money and risk well.

Well, most of all and primarily money and more knowledge about forex markets that would help me with better trading strategies.
