I think calculating its impact is most hard part. Sometime I avoid trading during high voltage news session.

You are acting correctly if you understand that you are not sufficiently prepared for such a trade and you have certain fears about it.

Stability exists on a spectrum. No asset can be defined as "stable" or "unstable". All of them are stable to some degree, and this degree doesn't remain the same over time. Short term fluctuations are indeed just in the last decimals but long-term, changes happen, fundamentals can affect the prices greatly, and at times the market is more volatile than at other times.
